NOOOOO!

An actual rant: I hate those SUV commercials where the little blond kid calls minivans humiliating. They're really snotty and obnoxious... and they're made worse by the fact that I've heard children say similar things. I want to make him walk to school!

My rant: I'm really gonna hate myself when I wake up in a little over five hours, and wish I'd gone to bed at 10:45 like I intended. Goddamn, I'm stupid.

Tipping.
Orange juice.
Kurtz.
Steak.
Twilight.
Chili.
Saunas.
xkcd.
Pants.
Michael Bay.
Eggnog.
Achewood.
Boughten.

Anything else? Anyone not offended yet?

Good luck indeed

I wear pants while eating steak, drinking boughten orange juice and watching a Michael Bay movie.

It's good to see that Matthias is still quick to be an asshole, and even quicker to complain when people call him one. Let's see, apparently everything he said was a) misunderstood, b) not serious, c) the result of sand in our collective vaginas, and d) him pointing out other people being morons. That about the score?

Well, fuck you Chaz, regardless of anything you say to justify your incredible douchebaggery.

Argh! What is so difficult about salt and peanuts? Two ingredients, put them together and don't add anything else, please. Why do all the dry roasted peanuts have to have MSG, maltodextrin, tapioca dextrin, and other stuff I'm allergic to plastered on them? I'm not happy about the corn syrup solids, either.

Wegman's store brand "Roasted Party Peanuts" have only three ingredients: Peanuts, Vegetable Oil (Peanut, Safflower, Cottonseed and/or Rapeseed), Salt. Don't know if they have Wegmans down there though.

No Wegmans that I know of, and I'm allergic to Cottonseed oil as well.

Here's a rather random rant and pretty general- people who fault any reference to Romeo and Juliet as a romance. Just because the story ends in tragedy doesn't make it any less of a love story.

Fuck you right back, fat lonely man.

And yeah, from the thread you assholes make it sound like I go into a restaurant and take a shit all over people, which isn't the case at all. So excuse me for getting defensive. All I said was I'm not a fan of tipping culture, and that Espy's particular case didn't warrant a tip.

But that's what Halforums does. You get into your collective chimpanzee troops and hurl feces at one person, taking what they said and twisting it until you convince yourself that they're the wickedest person on the planet.

Why are you even hammering your chubby little stubs on the keyboard in response to the argument? You've got nothing to do with it, and now you're just instigating to push something along further after it's settled down a page ago.

For the record, I think you're probably the saddest motherfucker here - save for Mav. So I could really give two fucks about what you think of me, or who you think I am. Just crawl back into your little cave, and live out your sad, pathetic existence without responding to me.

Oh don't worry, unlike you, I'll be at work all day, so you've got tons of time to come up with the best response for a retort.

Well it's not a romance...

Seriously, no more personal attacks from anyone. I don't give a damn about who is trolling or who is defending their innocent virtue.

One more and the thread gets locked and thrown away.

Just because the play is a tragedy doesn't mean that the love story between Romeo and Juliet isn't a love story. I mean Star Wars isn't a love story but there IS a love story between Leia and Han Solo.. right?

Yeah, but you're confusing genre with plot elements. Star Wars is a romance - more specifically a space-opera, a sub-genre of a soap-opera. Romeo and Juliet is a tragedy.

Actually it's kinda funny when you talk to hardcore fans of Star Wars and they get all mad when you bring up the fact that Star Wars is technically no different than Days of our Lives.

Yes I am talking about plot elements. The love story between the characters Romeo and Juliet is a love story even if the play Romeo and Juliet is a tragedy. That is the entire point of what I said.

Who the hell argues otherwise?

Unless you're talking about the whole is it a story about real love or is it about infatuation debate.

Got up at ~5am this morning. This is what the cable news outlets had on offer...

CNN: Live coverage of Japan quake.
Fox: Live coverage of Japan quake.
MSNBC: Lockup marathon and "Twisted Sisters" doc on female bodybuilding sisters.

Stay classy, MSNBC.

Girlfriend and step-son got to my place at 9pm at night last night. I had to go to sleep by midnight so that I could be up for work in the morning. Slept amazingly. Problem is, I had to be up at 6am, and am currently at work instead of at home with them. I'm stuck here till 4:30pm, by the time I get home it'll be 5:30pm. I'm supposed to be enjoying my time with them, but instead I'm here. -sigh-

Three things. First, argh, my health is still damn fragile. What seem like small mistakes can still cost me dearly. My downfall was a bowl of oatmeal. I love steel cut oats, but they're just too much for my system to digest right now. Kicked me pretty hard for a few days. Which is why I didn't mention either of the other two rants right when they happened.

Second, my sister got fired from her internship in a very unprofessional manner. Apparently her superiors and her boss had been talking about letting her go for months, but they decided to tell her with "hey, guess what, we're throwing you a going away party!" *facepalm* I'm told they're great at dealing with youth, but their social skills dealing with adults is lacking to say the least. Thankfully my sister is mature enough to have handled it well, but the stress in her life in general is really eating at her, and this did not help.

Third, one of our dogs got bit by a poisonous snake (Hoo, Graham, watch out). Her nose and throat swelled up really bad, but that was a couple days ago and she's recovering well. She's still tired, but most of the swelling has gone down, and she's moving about better.

Edit: Ya know, I probably could have put this in the main rant thread. This ain't exactly trivial stuff.
