Here's my guy. Let me know if I made some poor choices or did something wrong. I basically followed the character creator. Also, I'm torn between an amulet of protection +2 or a magic ki focus +2 for my item. Neither are exciting choices but should be helpful enough. Advice?

Modified it back from essentials, added the free feats, gave you a +2 ki focus and you can select a 3rd at will power (essentials vs 4e difference). Also selected some rituals that might suit the build, not sure how the online builder works for house ruling, but there are plenty of other options, to explore them just try making a generic wizard.

Over all the build looks very viable and dependable.

MD, with your monk unarmed strike, you don't really need a club. Your fist has a higher chance to hit and does more damage than a club anyway.

I changed a couple things, here's my lady:

So, I assume for my Wizard I can get a free Ritual Book and 2 Rituals? Any limitations?
PLUS the 3 rituals you get a 1st level wizard ANYWAY. Then you automatically get more at I think 5th level.

By holding a club his build and feat selection grant him +2 to AC.

Jay, wizards already get a free ritual book, so in addition to the free rituals you normally get, take 2 additional rituals. No restrictions, just steer clear of essentials.

I was leaning towards the magic weapon. I was also considering Amanuensis for a ritual, since it fits with the monk backstory (monks being famous transcribers!) though perhaps not terribly exciting as a ritual. Also, I know quarterstaves are two-handed but it seems like it could serve as useful equipment, if not as an occasional weapon. Finally, third at-will selection: Five Storms [Attack Technique]

Something that is a daily can typically only be used once between extended rests. (~ 24 hours)
Encounters can be used once between short rests. (~every 5 minutes)

I use the terms rest, because it is up to your PC when they rest. In Esc's game my PC went almost 40 hours without resting.

No rituals.... in Essentials? WTF
Rituals are RP, thus not essential to gameplay....

Seriously, they have been left out as essentials has been designed to help people join the game quickly, and rituals were seen as limiting that.

id like to ask what rituals everyone is taking so the two i pick dont end up being used already

I'm thinking of dropping Fastidiousness for Amanuensis. Bad idea? Does Amanuensis allow me to transcribe other people's rituals into scrolls or my own book? Obviously with great effort, if it does.

It should be noted that I have Bardic Ritualist as a class feature, meaning I can cast bardic rituals once a day for now component cost. If other people can't think of rituals they want, I'll give up Comrade's Succor or Silence in order to take more bardy stuff.

So, what is your character's alignment?

I'm planning either a Chaotic Neutral, Lawful Evil or Neutral Evil. Fuck the new alignment system. :)

Neutral. Can Allytyn, the force of time, be effectively worshipped/honored. Not that Allytyn would care one way or the other but it seems like an interesting choice.

i was never sure EXACTLY where lines were drawn on alighnments. Chaotic Neutral, as a guess. Basically, my guy would go out of his way to help people, but at the same time he would prefer there to be a reward in it. He wouldn't harm innocents, but he's not afraid to kill enemies or people who have really wronged him.

This is Good.

but at the same time he would prefer there to be a reward in it. He wouldn't harm innocents,
Neutral on the Good/Evil axis.

but he's not afraid to kill enemies or people who have really wronged him.
Neutral leaning towards Evil, if it's all for personal reasons and not because they're a genuinely bad person.

Nothing you've described sounds particularly Chaotic or Lawful.

I'd say you're character sounds Neutral Good, Rathkor. Sounds like everything he does is fairly dependent on it serving himself in some way, but he recognizes when people genuinely need help and will assist them independently of his own benefit.

Eladrin Tempest Fighter. Think Zeverand but dial back the perviness by a lot.

I have no idea who that is, but sounds cool.

It's time to D-D-D-D-D-DUAL WIELD!

Actually if you're Eladrin your character and mine might have some character conflict right off the bat. Nothing party-breaking, but some tension. :)

Just a pic i found that I thought would do well enough as a basic model for my characters appearance

Zeverom (sp?) is a loose-moraled, sex-hungry elf from Dragon Age: Origins.

If the Tuesday is going to coincide with weeks where we also play Jay's game, I don't know if I'll be playing. Are you guys coordinating that at all or just winging it?

Right now, the Tuesday is is to accommodate Mind Detective, but I hope to hold them on a week that Jay is taking off. There may be some overlap for a while until we switch to Thursdays.
