I post something about it earlier. It is basically a special coating that will "melt away" when encounter a highly acidic cells and release its medicine. It is a cool concept, but if cancer is cured what will all those cancer specialist to do? (not to mention the medicine)

Move on to discovering treatments and cures for virii. It would be nice if E-Strain didn't completely wipe out Thailand in the next half-century.

No, this is something different (if memory serves). This article is talking about a drug that works by inducing cell death in tumors. The article you posted talked about a new delivery system for cancer drugs.

Ah. so bottom line, no profit, no research :(
 
I don't think that's really the case. This is a pretty extraordinary claim, and the information was published about a year ago. So it might take time to verify it as being a cheap, highly effective cure for cancer. Other universities and labs may be testing this to see if it's replicable...

The media runs with things before all the sciency-bits have been finished. There's no profit-based conspiracy keeping us from curing cancer. What there probably is, is a lot of work yet to be done.
