Atari sold Cryptic to Perfect World (Chinese own)

Not good, not good at all. Perfect World, while on the shores of America, is firmly a Chinese run company that really does not know how to do business in the States. Had a couple of friends work for them briefly last year and I still hear complaints about them about how poorly that company is run.

oh man. That doesn't sound good :( Well since Perfect has the cash, maybe Cryptic can make better games (or hire more developers)
D&D Neverwinter also own by Cryptic as well as City of Heroes.

Couldn't happen to a nicer guy. Jack Emmert ran that company into the ground and anyone worth their salt left the company to form Paragon Studios.

No, NCSoft owns City of Heroes and the game is still being managed by most of the old guard from Cryptic under the name of Paragon Studios.

Perfect World is probably anything but, but could it be worse than the absolute fucking mess that is Atari?

This is the company that has the fucking rights to the most well known RPG license (Dungeons and Dragons), EVERYONE knows at least the name Dungeons and Dragons and puts out nothing for years until this current little bullshit hack and slash Daggerdale.

Awful.

I was quite disappointed with Daggerdale :( A friend of mine got it and he is avid D&D fan (we play them all from 1st edition to 4th, NWN Aol to current, the two ARCARD version and D&D online) and he hated it :(

Pretty much fucken this. Why the fuck did they even buy the license if they can't make any half decent fucken games?

I finished downloading the Torrent for Daggerdale to give it a whirl. Impressions coming soon.

Alt-tabbing makes all characters ingame turn blue, GUI is gone... fuck yea

That no 16:10 thing is another thing that pisses me off about PC game makers. Pc monitors are only now moving to 16:9. I have one of each on my desk. Support that shit for fuck's sake, it isn't hard. They always seem to have 4:3 fucking support.

Got rid of it after playing 20 minutes. It was a 3rd rate BG Action RPG game. It was terrible.

I cannot believe such a great franchise name like D&D is wasted giving it to a company like Atari.

Yeah, I gave that shit a shot. How that game can be brand fucking new is beyond me. It barely passes as a PS2 game.
