Frankly it looks more like the 3 caste thing with Warriors, Priesthood and Workers... with the Pegasus not being very overtly warriors because of the nature of the show (the WonderBolts being pseudo-fighter pilots). And the princess and sis being the gods.

MLP shows up in the strangest places. Take the latest episode of Brows Held High: a review of The Exterminating Angels. Warning, the film being reviewed is soft-core porn, and while the nudity is censored, it's still very NSFW. I'm still deciding if I like BHH. The host, Kyle Kallgren / Oancitizen, is witty and his delivery is near-perfect, but sometimes his subject matter is not to my liking. I wouldn't have even watched this one long enough to see the hilarious insertion of MLP if I hadn't heard there was an Obscurus Lupa cameo later in the vid.

That episode is a spot-on representation of how the artist-client relationship works. Any implications it has for the Ponyville economy should be extrapolated to our own.

Obviously Rarity's problem is that she's still breathing... everyone knows true art can't be appreciated until the artist is unable to receive a check and someone else benefits financially from the work they put no effort into.
