Happy Fathers Day to all the forum Dads. Hope your day was nice. Today I got up this morning at 10 O'clock at night, half and hour before I went to bed. Ate a handful of cold gravel, finished the dishes, made pancakes, eggs bacon, toast, yogurt and coffee for everyone else, did all the dishes again, got some lovely presents, changed a leaking baby, drove everyone to town, watched my daughters dance recital, drove everyone to A&W, ate a lump of poison, changed a leaking baby, went back home, baby sat a lizard then my cat cut me in two with a bread knife and danced around on my grave singing hallelujah.

Had an amazing "wake-up" this morning then in the afternoon spent a great time with my kids and wife at my parents house celebrating with my father. We had some great baked chicken, macaroni casarole, mashed potatoes, green beans with bacon and some pistachio cake. It was a great day over all and I hope all the other fathers out there are having a GREAT day!

I woke this morning to my wife trying to put a napping baby next to me for snuggles. Baby woke up, looked at me, gave me a HUMONGOUS grin, did her super-fast kickings that she does when she's excited, and rolled over to hug me.

All things considered, I'm okay with waking up early for that.

Woke up before everyone in the family went to work (still at work) when I get home it'll be my kids bedtime. Stay up about an hour longer then go to bed myself. But at least I have a house and new car.

I wished my husband Happy Fathers day in a way that most men would approve...then I gave him a Darth Vader coffee mug, some Staw Wars themed childrens book for him to read to Jet and a Star Wars greeting card.

He then went to work and grandfather Miller came and picked up Jet for a day at the Nature Park. I went back to bed. :)

After Jet got back and Steve got off work we all went up to have a BBQ with my dad.

It was a pretty swell day.

Gave my dad a hockey book, "Raising Stanley", because he just finished a Bobby Orr biography.

He's already 50 pages deep and is enjoying it so far. I call that a win. :)

My husband made us pancakes (because he likes doing it) for breakfast, then we went out in search of a bike for him, had lunch out, then came home. I made pasta salad and we had a cookout for dinner. My son gave Daddy a card with a drawing he made of all of us on the beach.

I imagine stienman's father's day starts off pleasantly, "Happy Father's Day!" "Thanks!" but ends in tragedy, because by the time you've heard it from your forty-sixth child, it's like "ENOUGH ALREADY!"
