Of course he did. WHY in God's name do people think they have to invoke our names as if they were some sort of official representative? Have I not made it clear that I want to put the damned fight behind us? That what happened turned out to be a good thing and holding grudges is childish?

Hasn't DA been acting this way in multiple threads here? It's not just about Kurtz, it's about 3D movies and chest shaving.
I made it up; I just wanted something even sillier than what DA has gotten upset about in the past.

How about DA owes us an apology for dragging us into it? I don't think we owe Scott an apology; we didn't choose to be part of DA's fit.

I think that works good, Dave, because it's the straight neutral truth.
I'm looking at DA's twitter; I don't see why HF had to be brought up at all. He easily could have made his point to Kurtz without going "AND here's a bunch of other people who think exactly like I do, just look and see!"
It seems a little arrogant (if not also paranoid) to suggest Kurtz is targeting us with that strip (in his twitter feed, DarkAudit claims Kurtz 'nailed us' with that strip). One which, by the way, made me laugh. But that is neither here nor there. We have a character, a throwaway character even, who points out the stupidity of LOLbat as a hero (as well as, perhaps inadvertently, the meaninglessness of memes) only to be shut down. "Do not celebrate this man." He's simply a sane person in a sea of crazy, the only one who sees that LOLbat is absurd, and yet he is the one perceived to be nuts. We've all been there. You know, that moment when you realize all of your friends liked the Transformers movies, and you protest "But they were terrible." Yet you're just alone and crazy in the face of their enthusiasm.
YOU SHUT YOUR GODDAM MO...no, wait, you're right.
Thousands of Lolbat haters around the universe were shunned, and then rallied to form a new community, one that would outshine HF for its passion against Lolbat.

I'm not "missing". I'm in between home and work. Work I need to get back to.
But in brief, this was a couple of comments that got blown way out of proportion, and I regret that.
I only mentioned HF because the dialogue about LOLBat could have been lifted straight out of this thread. And "fucking LOLBat" is just the tip of the iceberg when he pops up in the strip.
But still, I... (I'm trying to put into words how I fucked up... and I did fuck up, but writers block and work keep interrupting. Back once I've cleared my slate here.)
