I snapped this sequence of pictures as I drove from Austin to Houston this afternoon. It shows a rainbow forming. There are actually two (DOUBLE RAINBOW!), if you look closely.

It means either leprechauns are coming, or gay people. Both are beneficial! Leprechauns bring pots of gold, and gay people raise property values.

What? No, you live in Louisiana?

When did this happen?

I thought I had a good grasp of where most people here live.
Not anymore. I quit my professor position in Louisiana and took a job in Houston as of the beginning of the summer.

It's a double rainbow. So...gay leprechauns.

EDIT: Fun fact: I typed 'gay leprechaun' into YouTube's search, not expecting anything. Cripes, you really CAN find anything on the internet.

I'm not sure if those people know what gay means?

Yeah, it's a pretty stupid - and partly offensive - video. Of course, this is the same guys that did the really unfunny, offensive Retarded Policeman videos.

I've lived near Houston for 19 years now, and the only things I dislike are the humidity and the fire ants. The city and the people seem nice enough to me.

Pbbbt. I moved here from Louisiana. This is dry. In fact, when I go back to Louisiana, it feels like I'm swimming through the air.

That is exactly how I describe it! Today was gnarsty. Where's that damn cool front we were supposed to get last weekend?

I lived in this area for 6 years before now. Texas is a lot of things, but it ain't got crap on south Louisiana in terms of humidity.
