Asshole eh?
Asshole eh?
Now you're a BareFnord?
Got some new eye-wear....oh and shaved all several feet of my hair off.
Nope. It's a "that's flipping hilarious!"Is that a "yes", Dave?
I hadn't noticed that! Weird...but why on earth would someone search for it?After Jay started posting image macros implying that the girl DocSev was with was hot, he removed the pictures in response.
Poor, poor ratties. I know is was (I hope) for a good cause...but I associate rats with pets so I makes me sad.Cute. Those rats look similar to ones I used to behead in a little mini- guillotine, and mash up their brains to culture cells from.
THEY DIED FOR SCIENCE!
I knew rats had a certain intelligence to them, I just didn't know they were... you know.... owned by so many people. I thought it was illegal... considering their history and all.Well, they are small so easy on space restrictions. They are friendly, unlike many other pet store rodents. They are relatively cleanly and can be litter trained. They learn to know their names and are decently intelligent.
Actually, there are many reasons I like rats as pets. The only things I disliked were how hard it was to gender type them when they are young so you could end up with unwanted ratties. Also, I felt the need to have a cat when I got a bigger place and that was a huge headache.
Black rats are the ones known for spreading the plague..and even then they didn't spread the plague. It was the fleas nesting in their fur that did it. The rats were just carriers of fleas. Black/Wild rats are pretty rare in the pet trade.I knew rats had a certain intelligence to them, I just didn't know they were... you know.... owned by so many people. The ones you see in a pet store are Norway Rats. They have a nice temperament and don't grow as large as black rats. They also come in a wide variety of colors.
...I really miss owning rats.
