So.....

Yeah I need to check my email more often. I've been getting beta test invitations for like the last 2 months.

Edit: The funny part is that I have no idea how to log into my battlenet account

edit2: I'm an idiot its spam/phishing.

I am so ashamed. Please delete thread.......after an appropriate amount of mocking....

Actually I think this is a good thread. I've been getting a ton of these, too.

If you get one and think it's real (or if you think it's fake!) just go to your Blizzard account and check your beta settings there.

Usually you can tell it's a scam due to the fact they ask you for your password in the e-mail or tell you to click a link.

Just so you know, in order to prevent phishing scams Blizzard does not even have a link in the e-mail. When I got my Diablo 3 Beta Invite this is pretty much what it said.

Getting Started

1. Log in to Battle.net.
2. Click on the "Account" button.
3. Click on Diablo III Beta game account listed under "Your Game Accounts".
4. Verify your age.
5. Select Windows or Mac as your operating system to download the beta client.
6. Select "Run" when the installation .exe pop-up box appears.

They didn't ask me to click anything, but to just go to your Battle.net Account directly for the download.

Shit. I heard this same scam is responsible for hacking into back accounts too. If you think they might have gotten into your bank account, send me a PM with your email, account number, and ATM pin. I'll make sure your money is still there.

So speaking of Diablo, anyone got any questions about the game? Still playing the Beta a bit. Got a Wizard that I love to play right now, though I am trying out all the classes to various degrees. Right now since we only have a small section of the game, it feels a lot like doing old mephisto-style runs on the skeleton king, but you can still level pretty high and even level up your crafter, giving you an idea on how it works.

It is funny. Lately I have been getting A LOT of spam mail saying my account is being deactivated and need to send all my info. The funny part is that I recently log on Battle.net to check on my account and change my authenticator (I was updating my phone) so I know my account is good.

Also having to chat with Blizzard before on account, they wouldn't ask for your password in email anyways. They can access it and read up on anything up and including changing password (which they had to do it for me a while back which was a gruesome process since I had to find 3 serial number for my previous games)
