Wow, I just earned major brownie points with my wife

So my wife has been wanting a new dog for a long time (we had one but didn't work out, a lot of medical problems and we didn't have the means, but gave it to a family that did and now he is happy and healthy) so tonight I was just randomly on craigslist looking for a dog and found a 1 yr old chihuahua that a family was giving away for free because the mom was really allergic to them, so we set up to go visit them tonight went and saw the dog. Once we got there the mom saw that we were a good fit with the dog and decided that she was going to let us leave with it she was unhappy because she couldn't find something but was looking and looking and then found it, the dogs papers, a purebred chihuahua that she gave away for free. Nice.

I may not be a Dunham fan but one of his jokes always stayed with me:

If your dog bounces when it barks. It is not a dog.
If your dog could go go missing after a stiff breeze. It is not a dog.
If your dog is frightened of a leaf blowing in the wind. It is not a dog.

Although I am not really into chihuahuas and small dogs in general ever since I have gotten to know my friend Debbie's three pugs I have to give small dogs a chance. They are some of the most fun, amusing dogs ever.

I will add that pugs don't really seem like dogs at all. They don't well they just don't look like dogs and they make this weird snorty rawrgrawr noise.

One of her pugs, Annabelle, can make that noise sound like I love you which is pretty cute.

Debbie was fostering a rescue pug named Truman for a while. I seriously considered keeping him. He came from a puppy mill where he was the stud dog. He didn't know anything about playing or treats. It was fun seeing him discover new fun things like grass and play. He is such a loving dog but ultimately her daughter took him. They couldn't part with him.

@Topic: I did something similar a few days ago. I've been working my butt off at work and had some money to spend sooo... I got her a new PC and iPhone. Her old PC is/was garbage so I'm sure if it's even worth salvaging for parts at this point. To that end, I put together something nice for her on the down-low. Unfortunately, she was here when it arrived and I wasn't, so I didn't get to surprise her. We both went to the store for her phone though (another huge upgrade).

My mother owns two chhuahuas and they are not afraid of ANYTHING, even when they should be. One of them will run up to other animals twenty times her size like she does not give a shit. My own larger dog? Hides behind me when there is thunder outside.

But it's ok because he used puppets and silly voices for his bad ventriloquist act that relies solely on racial profiling.

I'm glad I'm not the only person who thinks Dunham is a raging, hateful man.

Although. I do get a kick out of Russell Peters though. He's racial humour seems a lot less...mean.
