[TV] The Walking Dead

The only thing that pissed me off was Lori. So now she's pissed at Rick for killing Shane when she clearly knows that the only other option would be for Rick to die. What the fuck, bitch?

Yeah the end by the fire was hilarious...

"whine whine whine"

Rick - "either shut the fuck up, or you can go out there and get eaten."

Awesome ending to the season and I love the setup for the next season.

And Michonne's entrance was fucking spectacular!!!!! (hoody who rescued Andrea)

Damn good episode. And Charlie can finally STFU about the scientist thing. I knew it'd come back at some point. I also like the slow-burn on how we find out that all dead rise, not just bitten. Sure, anyone who's a zombie buff will know that, but it hadn't been officially established in this zombie universe until now.

Honestly, it's episodes like this that make me keep reading the comic. There were times that I was getting mad that there was little action or body count and them wham. Slaughter. It happened last season, it happened this season, and I guarantee it'll happen next season. In fact, next season will likely have just as much people drama as it did this season. I'm trying to be as obscure as possible when I say this stuff, of course. And that hooded figure? Guarantee you non-comic book fans are gonna love her.

Honestly, I didn't read it like that. I read it more like, "Holy shit, what kind of person is my husband turning into?" Because Rick just took a life, after the whole season (or two) of talking about life being sacred. Hell, he wasn't willing to kill the kid that shot at him but he's willing to kill his best friend? That's the kind of character turn that I think frightened her. Could also be partly wish fulfilment and being careful what you wish for (after her whole Lady MacBeth speech).

That was a horrible, terrible, painful season finale. I'm embarassed to have watched it. The best part was the first 10 minutes, but every single moment after that was an exercise in amateur direction, holy crap.

Aside from Lori (which I believe to be bad acting, or poor direction, as Kirkman has said she was supposed to be feeling guilty for putting Rick and Shane at odds) what did you find terrible about the last 50 minutes?

Also, stupid character make stupid decisions. That cannot be taken into consideration.

AKA : Let me drive up and down while unloading my shotgun randomly into zombies because game writers do not take ammo into consideration unless it's part of the storyline.

1) Michonne's Introduction was hamfisted at best. She slices off the head of the zombie, and then she appears a good 20 feet away from Andrea? Derp? But we get a nice close up of her lips, oooh.

2) What exactly was the point of driving cars around in circles outside of the farm blasting at the zombies? Were they having a good ol' hootenanny?

3) Hershel's daughter looks like Luna Lovegood.

4) Hershel and his infinite boomstick. I guess he has the cheat codes or something. (And yes, they show him reloading once, but what about the other shots of him firing off 6 or 7 shots in a row?)

5) There's one long take of Rick talking and you see Lori looking over his shoulder and reacting to everything he's saying and it's just...painful. PAINFUL to watch. Cut away or SOMETHING. Yes Andrew Lincoln is a good actor, but jesus, give the guy a break please.

6) Carol's run. At one point, she literally throws her arms up in the air and starts running in circles wildly. I just...ugh.

7) Carol's awkward hop onto the Darylcycle

8) Maggie hears I love you and she goe from sobbing wreck who, from her perspective just lost her entire family to 'Uhyuck, that's so CUUUUTE'

9) The announcement that we're all infected lands with the drama of a slick turd on your front door step. Not even a 'dramatic pause' or 'dramatic music cue'. Nor any real lead up to him announcing it. He might as well be saying "I just saved $200 on car insurance." for the pathos that came out of it.

10) The retarded camera rise to the prison. Was the intention to cause drama wondering if they're going to find it? Irony that they're so close to finding it? At least they got the music right.

I will say that I did like the whole group arriving in a caravan format at the previously undisclosed previous meeting point all within 10 seconds of each other.

It still took an entire 12 episode season to reveal the cliffhanger of season 1. That's lame.

I'm glad I skipped this season, and will jump back in next season in hopes that it grabs me again.

Hey, at least it's not like Lost or Battlestar Galactica. At least they even remembered to bring it up again. Plus, given Rick's explanation (Jenner might've been insane), it made sense.

That's what I was thinking the entire time Herschel was unloading into those zombies in front of his house.

Still, I enjoyed the finale and I'll tune in for next season.

Yeah, I'll easily admit that the show isn't perfect but I'll take it over shit movies like Zombieland and whatnot that we were so used to.

Furthermore, I agree with all points with Adammon. Completely. Yet, they don't bother much. I'm quite forgiving.... but yeah, Lori's character.... and I think at this point the actress herself is really toughto even look at at this point. Not to mention that even looking at her gauntness feels about the equivalent of scratching your nails against the chalkboard.

At some points I was even laughing as I counted Hershel shooting 10 times with his 4 round pump action shotgun... and I don't know about you but I shot a shotgun once and that thing has a kickback of a mule that was impressive, meanwhile this 70 year old man is going balls to the walls with it with a recoil of a watergun.

If you don't take simple issues at heart, it was a good episode but the same problems have come back.

Unlimited ammo unless directed by storyline.

Oh and running away from the Z's, shooting them down once you past them so you can attract more.

People are fucking dumb in this show.

That's why I don't mind when they die.

Except Dale of course, that was tough.

Oh and I loved the intro yet again. The first 5-10 minutes just watching the Z's go about their business was impressive.

Agreed 100% on that. It was like "The Story of the Zombie Herd" and illustrated why one action has consequences well out into the future.

I like how the plan of "kill a few then lure them off with the cars" became "shoot everything and completely abandon the farm"

How they can have such a good plan that became such a shitty one was wierd.

1. They had like 5 minutes to prepare.

2. They tried and got swarmed.

I don't get all the heehawing about this episode. It was fantastic.

Instead on focusing on who slept with who, who calls the shots and trying to cut their wrists they could sit down rationally and formulate plans on how to bunker in, defend themselves and what to do in specific scenarios but hey..... it's Georgia.

I really enjoyed this episode. Any problems I have are pretty minor, and most at least had thought behind it.

1) Hershal's magic shotgun. At first I didn't pay much attention until it got to near 10 shots in a row. It was kind of an eye roller moment but this is not the first nor will it be the last time this happens on a tv series.

2) Lori's over the shoulder reactions. I can respect what they were going for, but I'm not sure if it worked. It felt too much like an acting excercise or something. I can forgive taking a chance on something like that, and maybe a stronger actress might have pulled it off.

3) the reveals at the very end. The hooded girl and the prison are completely lost on people who haven't read the comic. Well, perhaps not completely lost, but certainly diminished. I would have done more with them to let the tv only fans in on what's up.

Besides those three, I can't think of any major complaints.

I loved the shot of the barn collapsing, with the walkers all coming at the camera.

I haven't read the comic, and the hooded woman was an exciting reveal for me, in the realm of "who the fuck is that? She looks awesome!"

1. They had like 5 minutes to prepare.
Which is why the plan of getting them to chase the car while everybody else hunkers down in the house quietly was an amazing plan sure it harkens back to earlier episodes with the car alarm but that just means it's a proven strategy.

No they didn't they drove up and down the fence shooting random zombies and crying because they don't have enough ammo to kill them all. With Hershal drawing them all to the farmhouse. and Lori and the women abondoning the house while the zombies were 200 yards away without a plan.

I'm pretty sure this is the point in the comic where they really start focusing on these things. The farm was a wake-up call for Rick and he basically lays down the law for awhile.

Haven't read the comics so the Jail and Ninja Zombie Slave girl reveals were phenomenal.

Loved the season finale. Love this show 100%.

Yeah, buddy, you'd be a rational, logical person with a thousand zombies 100 yards from you. You'd do everything by the book.

Hint - the scene was written as a big cluster fuck of panic for a reason...

Finally saw it last night. I tihnk the stupidest thing anybody did, was Rick not explaining to ANYONE that Shane was going to kill him. He came closest with Lori, telling her Shane was setting him up for a trap, but never mentioned Shane actually drew his gun on him and was about to shoot him. When he told the group, he explained NOTHING. No wonder they all think he's going psycho.
