You may or may not have noticed a few little changes. First, there's now a Bank tab at the top of the page. You also may have noticed that there's now a $ symbol on your avatar. Yes, folks, HalBucks will be returning. That's the good news.

The bad news is that I can't find the old HB data in the system, which means those of you who gambled before (or stole, ya right bastards!) now do not have the many millions of HB.

"But Dave, " you ask, "what will these be used for? We don't have a cool store any longer!"

Glad you asked. On or about April 1 we will have a store. It'll be different than the store we used to have because it'l be a real damned shop where you can all list your items for sale and have people buy them. (Once you have approval to open your shop, that is.) What I plan on doing is offering stuff for sale on the shop and you'll be able to use HB to buy them. Such things could be a Steam game or an item from the HalShop. It'll be random and you'll have to keep checking back for the woot Hal deals that will appear. There may be other uses for the shop as we move forward.

You get HB as follows (so far): HB 1 for a post (a couple of you got a post in while it was still HB 5, which is the default. Good for you!) and HB 10 for a new thread. Please note that there's a character limit that must be reached to get the points, so don't go all spammy on me.

More as we go along...

I was even about to say "What did you do now, Ray". Hopefully we don't have spammy nonsense so people can push for that immunity to stealing (if it will even be there).

Right now there is no such thing as stealing or anything like that. And I don't see that returning. It was a fun idea but apparently easily broken and abused. Go figure on a board with a lot of gamers there would be people finding cheats.

I still can't believe it allowed me to duplicate my Halbucks like it did in that one game. Truly absurd.

My mistake, then. Yeah, I figured with your post count you would have been all over that.

Edit: Dave, your test succeeded on my end. However, if you wish to keep testing, I won't complain about it.

It's on its way. Right now there's a conflict between the bank's liking bonus and the multiple likes available through Darkimmortal's extended likes system. Once they get that ironed out I'll be adding it.
