I hate being the center of attention at a party. Even at birthday parties, I like to spend the time in the kitchen getting stuff for people, cutting cake, and mixing punch, etc... I'm starting to dread all this. First off, there's all this trouble with the wedding shower. My future in-laws planned a vacation the week it happens, and now the MIL's panties are all in a bunch like I did that on purpose. Also, a person I never speak to anymore and who's freaking poison to me messaged me out of nowhere and was like, "hey chica, so excited for your wedding!!! See you soon!" Who told you you were invited?! Did you get a damn save the date?!

Gaaaaaah too many questions. I'm so tired of telling people how my plans are going. I am getting tired of showing people pictures of my dress. I know I know that on the day it's going to be great. Jake will make it that way, because he's wonderful and one of the few people who can make me be calm. But damnit. All this fuss. :( I miss simplicity and not being asked my opinion on colors and entrees.

Jesus, Seej... I'm right here.

:(

This is why I'm glad I planned my wedding in 6 weeks. Just the thought of having a year to think about it gives me the shivers.

My wedding had 9 guests.

It was wonderful, simple, inexpensive, intimate, and mostly stress-free. Contemplate this on the Tree of Woe.

Can't leave out any family. I love them, damn it. Stupid love. O well. That is going to be one delicious Tri-force cake.

So how are the plans going, what colors do you like, what entrees will there be, and show me pictures of your dress. :D

Aw, I know, and thanks very much. :) I actually regretted posting the second after I did though, because I sound like such a whiny bitch. I know it'll be good. It's just hard to vent to family and friends, because they're all really doing so much for me right now. I know I'd come off ungrateful.

I enjoyed my wedding and the lead up to it. It was a lot of fun. *shrug* Sure we got stressed and had to verbally pound on some people, but in the end, that's what family is for.

I'm going to show up, wearing 80s punk rocker clothes and a boombox on my shoulder blasting:

Your worries are now much less significant in the face of this news.

After my sister's wedding was over, everything had gone well, only minor mishaps here and there and everyone was up the following morning, Mom looked at me and asked me point blank if I wanted to do my wedding in Vegas.

My general response was that it wasn't really up to me, it'd be up to whichever girl I decide to marry...

There was a reason that I opted to go to the Magistrate Court judge and just have it performed.

Later on, when we have another child and they both can help in the ceremony, we're going to do a vow renewal, and THEN she can have the big ol' ceremony. I will be in command of the grill.
