Thank you all so much for your well wishes and kind words. I love you all dearly. The night was beautiful. I couldn't have asked for anything except a competent florist... She got the bouquets wrong. I didn't care at that point, but my mother was ready to kick her ass. She fixed them, no problem, and in plenty of time. The biggest issue of the night was that we had paid to close in an open balcony and air condition it so that our guests could be comfortable. Well, the owner, who knows my parents, promised that it would be as cool by that night. Unfortunately, whoever he sent to hook it up did it wrong. All the warm air that was supposed to circulate out was blown right back onto the balcony. Brilliant! Thank goodness the ceremony didn't last long. I was worried about Jake being uncomfortable in his tux, but he was ok. So all's well that ends well. We were laughing about all of it by the end of the night.
Kev, thanks very much for this thread. As always, you are awesome, my first really close internet pal. ^_^ I'll see you guys in a week or so. I must now sleep, having worn myself out by rearranging and jamming things into suitcases for the past 3 hours.
