MSN is reporting that Michael Clarke Duncan has passed away. Death, you really do suck.

Each time I saw a story about his illness, I would reply that he is needed back on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.

:(
He always seemed like a good guy who appreciated what he had.

And his appearances on Craig's show were always great. I'm not looking forward to tonite or tomorrow's show.

Goddammit. He was one of those actors who I really loved, no matter what their role. Even when he made brief appearances in TV shows I couldn't help but smile.

Godspeed, you gentle giant. You're giving angel Fezzik a headlock now.

I actually found something decent on a Yahoo! message board

My eyes welled up with tears when I heard Michael was gone. My boyfriend met him once several years back at a comic convention in Dallas, TX. Before actually being able to speak to him, my boyfriend witnessed MCD'S kindness first hand...this jerk of a guy walked past a little girl, knocked her down, made her cry and just walked away like nothing happened. MCD saw this happen, grabbed the guy by the back of his t-shirt, turned him around, pointed to the little girl who was still sitting on the ground crying while her father tried to comfor her and with no anger in his voice only kindness said to the guy "Apologize. It's the right thing to do." After the guy did what he was told, MCD let him go, walked over to the little girl, spoke to her father for a moment, scooped her up off the floor, sat her on his shoulder and walked her over to a food vendor to buy her some ice cream. THAT is who Michael Clarke Duncan was and although I never had the pleasure of meeting him, that is how I will remember him. He was a remarkable human being and an incredibly talented actor. I will miss him so very much. My heart goes out to Omarosa and the rest of his family. RIP Michael.

I had no idea that he and Omarosa were together. That's a perfect example of keeping your private and celebrity life separate.

Me neither. And as much as I hate her guts, I have too much respect - and fear - of Michael Clarke Duncan to derail this thread to ranting about her.

I'm serious, people. I would not wish Michael Clarke Duncan coming back from the Great Beyond to teach me respect for his missus. No matter how awesome being haunted by him would be.

I'm in the minority that liked Daredevil. The big man was a large part of why. He clearly had a lot of fun as The Kingpin.

I hear that the director's cut that wasn't the mess the theatrical version was (cut to put far more emphasis on Elektra in order to make her movie more attractive) is actually pretty good. I'd definitely have to see it to believe it.

It doesn't make it a great movie, but certainly better than what they originally put out. The extended fight scene was too slow-motiony for me.
