You are a sad strange little man.Good thing I eat turkey bacon.
Nope, I eat Turkey Bacon too.You are a sad strange little man.
People eat 3 lbs of beef in one sitting? That's a thing? Man have I been missing out.Considering that the pork lobby has been lobbying hard to think of new ways for people to consume pork for a while now, combined with the fact that we've been living in a pork glut (of sorts) for the last 10 years or so, I have to say a pork collapse was going to happen sooner or later.
Now if only we could convince ranchers to look more seriously at miniature cattle, we might be able to do something about the whole "not enough land/feed to support our beef habit" thing, too. People might have to get used to eating cuts of beef that weigh less than 3lbs in one sitting, though.

"I think that's hogwash," Rosemary Smart, international marketing programs co-ordinator for the Canadian Swine Exporters Association (CSEA) told QMI Agency. "In Canada it's not an issue at all. We export a lot more meat than we can consume. If our (Canadian) consumer wants to eat pork we have a supply in Canada."
Maple Leaf Foods, the second-largest processor of pork in Canada, says that although it expects hog supplies to shrink in 2013, the decrease in numbers should be modest.
I found that entirely funnier than I needed to.Also,
Looks like Canada won't be hit too hard in this bacon shortage.
