)Well, Nick is a mime. It's the first job stage of acrobatics. Soon he'll move on to juggling, then contortion-ism, rolling around on a ball, jumping through flaming hoops, and other acts of strength.
And yeah, Kags has the Inappropriate trait, which means she often wears the wrong clothing. I did it so she would switch between he normal clothes and Alice/Ivy costumes semi-randomly. So far I've only seen her sleep in her Ivy bathing suit.
And LittleSin's painting in her jammies in that pic too. Maybe it's her rebellious trait that moves her to shower only in the late afternoon, who knows.
Having the inapporpriate trait is the best thing ever.

... his school was overrun with toaster zombies?... and then shortly after hears the horror stories from Bowie's first day at the public school.

I sure hope SimGusto isn't watching her sleep too.
You and I are "self-employed". The idea is that we are progressing a skill that can earn us money independently (writing, painting, sculpting, etc.), so we make our earnings by selling paintings or getting book royalty cheques and then depending on the amount of cumulative earnings we've earned, the city pays us a weekly stipend as well.
Our day-to-day is less lucrative than the rest of the household but it can snowball huge.
Gusto and Droll start the next day with a perfectly normal dinner on the roof.

Nick hears about a SimFest in the park and decides to attend to learn from a more experienced acrobat than himself.
Finally getting a moment to himself, Jay say "hay gurl" to the maid, who discusses the SimFest too. The maid's name is Holly, too, confusing and irritating everyone.
No longer content to simply watch, Nick wonders when his gravy train will come in.
Inspired by his first SimFest, Nick aspires to audition for one himself. Stay tuned!
Anyway, in the meantime, Gusto fixes himself a drink on the roof while Holly and CK belt out a love duet.

I feel so bad for anyone's sim who tries to talk to my sim. Her brain, much like mine, it just doesn't process things well. C'mon simKags, make friends with people!
I kinda wish it was possible to just make sims and dump them in the community. Would make things interesting if suddenly Dave showed up asking for his rent money.

Yeah we've had a bunch of people start a load of laundry but it never seems to get finished. I should take a look at that. And Jay should stop distracting the maid. Now that I'm finally back proper, I can say: this shit is awesome, yo! Gusto, you REALLY got it together with this one and it rocks my socks. The mime stuff and skinny dipping Gusto is hilarious.
Oh, one thing I'd like to see about adding to my room: an awesomely tacky recliner. The kind of recliner you see grandparents holding onto on sitcoms that everyone else wants to toss or burn.

Holy shit, I've been so excited to get a few minutes to myself so I could read this. It's been a long few days, but this totally made my afternoon.
I sort of love that my Sim is a professional athlete. Roller derby isn't something that exists in the Sim world, but I can pretend that's what she does, since I'm going to be trying out for one of the top-ranked teams in the nation in the next year or so

Last update for today.
Droll gets up early the next morning and reads a book that was assigned to her at work.
As soon as he's ready, Nick gets in costume and heads to the park to audition for his very own acrobat gig! He gives his best impression of being trapped in a box:
... but it isn't very effective. Nick is told to work on his skills and then come back, so he spends the rest of his day in the park juggling for tips.
Gusto heads to the local consignment shop to attempt to sell the three paintings he's completed so far. He is completely unfased by the horse in the bathroom. (I have no idea what caused this.)
His paintings DO sell be later that afternoon, earning Gusto a couple hundred dollars and an increase in his weekly government stipend.
Bowie receives a promotion too! He's now a Substitute Teacher, and gains te wish to practice his lecture in front of the mirror in order to increase his Charisma.
Meanwhile, the unexpected occurs! (Seriously, this has never happend to me.) Jay's boss calls HIM for a date on their day off! Jay heads out of the house to meet Mimi uptown, but not before checking out the maid (whose name is Amber, sorry for the mistake). Flirty trait at work.
Jay's Flirty trait also compells him to give Mimi some flowers, even though she showed up to their date in her Line Cook uniform.
The Pajama Sisters spend their morning and early afternoon playing video games and painting.

... and Kags changes into her Alice costume in order to mop up the puddles. Cinderella would seem more fitting.
