[Movies] Talk about the last movie you saw 2: Electric Threadaloo

I liked it, but it felt more like an animated movie made for adults, instead of an animated movie made for kids that adults could enjoy. My kid enjoyed it, but I’m pretty sure he forgot all about it 5 minutes after he left the theater and hasn’t asked to watch it again. As opposed to the Toy...

[Movies] Talk about the last movie you saw 2: Electric Threadaloo

They did surprisingly well at keeping it true to what it is. If you go in expecting a Beavis and Butthead movie, you won’t be disappointed.

    Minor victory thread

Decided to work from home today. Took a half day to get the lawn mowed so I don’t have to do it this weekend. Now I’m done, and the rest of the family isn’t home yet. So it’s time to enjoy the pool by myself.

    [Brazelton] Roe v. Wade

It doesn’t affect them directly yet, so it’s easy to ignore.

    [TV] Better Call Saul (Spoilers!)

Damn. As nice as it is to see everything start to come together, it’s going to suck when it’s done.

Gas Bandit's Political Thread V: The Vampire Likes Bats

Letting tribal governments prosecute non-natives when they commit crimes on native lands seems like a better option. Otherwise you’re just blaming them for not doing something they can’t even do.

Gas Bandit's Political Thread V: The Vampire Likes Bats

We Americans have a short attention span. I have serious doubts it’ll affect the midterms all that much. If it does, great, I’d love to be wrong.

    [Brazelton] Roe v. Wade

A case could be made for castle doctrine in that situation. If a sick person comes near me, and there would be a 50% chance of me dying because of it, they’re getting shot.

    [Brazelton] Roe v. Wade

Again, you think. Would you really believe that without your faith? You can say it’s based on philosophy and science, but you just spent how much time explaining why your faith did not allow for abortions to be done.

    [Brazelton] Roe v. Wade

Well, our government doesn’t consider them citizens until they’re born, have a birth certificate, and have an SSN right? Otherwise I should have been able to claim my unborn child as a dependent.

    [Brazelton] Roe v. Wade

That could be said of almost any religious belief.

    [Brazelton] Roe v. Wade

That’s a bullshit comparison and you know it. It’s a religious belief that life begins at conception is it not?

    [Brazelton] Roe v. Wade

That’s all fine, but there’s a difference between having personal religious beliefs and trying to force those beliefs on others through legislation. Justify it through your beliefs all you want, but that doesn’t change the fact that those religious beliefs are being forced on others.

My fedex driver is now so lazy all they do is take the packages out, set them next to their van in our driveway, and take off. I know I live in the middle of nowhere, but you could at least set it on the steps of our deck. That way if it does rain, it won’t sit in a pool of water.
