Father's Day was going to our favorite ramen place. He got shoyu ramen with sliced chicken. I got shoyu ramen with Japanese char siu. Noah had katsu curry and a Lily got a child's sized portion of ramen. Gyoza all around! Then we had ice cream for dessert much later.

I've been watching Bungo Stray Dogs from Season 1 to the current episode in Season 3. I love seeing all of the characters names after authors and their abilities. It's a pretty good series that has gotten better in the more recent episodes.

The only reason Noah got one at age 11 was because of staying after school for band practice and so we could let him know if we were running late. He just got a smartphone this year, but I'm able to monitor his usage and his Google account as part of our moblile service's family plan.

Yeah I'd ditch FB if it wasn't for trying to stay in touch with people across so many time zones. I love IG for that same reason, though. Noah has only gotten into YouTube and since his Google account is attached to mine, I can pop on at anytime to check on his activity (he's almost 14 btw)...

Finally saw End Game. I want more Ronin. Hulk was funny. I teared up over Black Widow. Captain America really pissed me off rather than giving me warm fuzzies at the end. Overall I walked out feeling a little disappointed, and a little heartache-y, but satisfied.

I SURVIVED their visit! There were no arguments. There were no power struggles. Aussie and I got to go out 3 times. There was no gaslighting or guilt-trips. I'm not wallowing in a pit of depression now that they've gone home. What alternate universe am I in?!? :Leyla:

That's been a hard lesson to learn since it is the opposite of how I was raised. Family visits from out of state and the world stops turning until they leave.

My parents are here. I did not take vacation time to be with them. They will be left to their own devices on Sunday while we attend a graduation party for a friend's son (there was already a comment about that, but I summarily ignored it). I am also planning to go out with Aussie at least once...
