For the Austin folks...how is Sixth street for Halloween? I am hearing it is insane.

I like it. While I may miss my friends and family back north, I love this area, and I think I can enjoy it here. ...granted, the money work has given me helps

Yeah, I am here in North Austin, about a mile from where I am currently living. I'm looking into places around the area, and branching out. I dont want to live right in the city, rather save the cash on an apartment up this way, and not down there.

I am definitely liking it a lot. Corporate put me up in the Domain for now, until I find my own place. Yay free living!

I have arrived. So far...nice place! Need to get my truck delivered, though. While I love riding the Harley. The cross country trip I made solo was a blast, but it is hampering me getting things like groceries and what not now that I am here.

This is a good plan.

At the moment no...Did Rock on the range, mayhemfest and bonaroo last year. Would do the same this year,a nd had planned too, but the move to Austin put a kill on that. Will be going to ACL in october, and whatever other things I can see once I am settled in like NiN.

Ummm...so on a lark, I tried to apply for a new position within my company down in Austin,TX after I rejected the last opening and offer that was available to me in October. I thought I was going for a lateral move this time around, with no new benefits or pay increase. ...They went...

Well, I decided to decline the ofer to move to Austin that my work put forth. I was told they wanted me to stay, so I took a 6 percent raise and stayed. Now I know why they wanted me to stay.. I have just been promoted to management with another 20% pay bump. WOOOOOOOOO!!!

Got another promotion and a raise this past week, and I went and got myself a new (used) truck! Booyah!! This has been a hell of an awesome year for Shannow!

But you see, now I am moving there.
