The Disney Thread: For Everything Concerning the House of Mouse

It's 25 minutes since the end credits rolled by and I still haven't come down from the emotional rush that episode dropped. I was literally sitting there and staring at the wall for five minutes, trying to get my mind back under control. It's freaky great!

[Brazelton] Dame Angela Lansbury (Murder She Wrote etc)

To me she was the princess from The Court Jester before she became Miss Potts, and later Jessica Fletcher when my now-wife had her tv running as background noise a lot. Thanks to wifey I also know her from National Velvet alongside young Elizabeth Taylor and the great Anne Revere. And from the...

Whine like a baby, now with 500% more drama!

I called my father and asked him if he wanted to come to my wedding and he was all 'Of course, absolutely' etc. and I was like 'you had 4 weeks time to respond and it's now one week overdue...' Yep, not the best relationship anyways, didn't get any better after I took my wife's family name...

[TV] Talk about the last TV you watched, the catchall thread

This! Watched it and liked the world, the characters, the story. Told the wife and we watched it together, fell in love with it. Another full rewatch already happened, and some parts got checked repeatedly. Wife by now can tell you what the Grisha are up to or what kind they are by the way they...

    something something Godwin's Law

Oh no, won't somebody think of the children? /s It's been a few (well, lots) years sinde I graduated but the Holocuast and who did it was hammered home well in german schools, also how history and society got to that point. Of course that's at an age where one usually isn't interested in those...

The Disney Thread: For Everything Concerning the House of Mouse

It could just have been as easy as showing him again as the badass he was for a few minutes in Mando season 2. Then he could have gone the traditional 'I'm getting too old for this shit' and try to settle down for a steady revenue while sitting on a throne, unfortunately still having to deal...

    The Lego appreciation thread

When I scrolled through at first and after the Jedi Training set I saw what looked like an open lid and a tilted X-Wing I was all "OMG, it comes with a whole X-Wing for Yoda to pull out of the swamp!"
  16. Just Me

    [Brazelton] The Amazing Jonathan

Oh no. That hits more than it should considered I barely knew about him. I saw him on a german comedy show maybe 20-25 years back and loved his skit. "Sometimes magic sounds like tape" has become a household word in this, well, household and we revisited that clip many times.

[Movies] Talk about the last movie you saw 2: Electric Threadaloo

I couldn't have worded it better! "burn down the house and blame Winston Churchill" has become a regular quote of mine. Everything about that movie is brilliant, and then there's Sam Rockwell to top it up. His last scene... just wow, such an emotional moment.
