Funny as it is, that must kind of stink for the people in the back of the auditorium.

"We only lost the red shirt!" LMAO!! :D

Keep watching Frankie. I'm almost done the lot of them and Wil gets fantastic.

Company of Discord: And all other associated games - we already record our sessions. We should 'cast that shit.

Yeah, I'm almost through them all now, Wil is definitely better in this game than he was in the first one he took part in. I found him insufferable in that. I dig the back and forth between him and Scott.

As a side note, I really gotta get in on one of these Halforums' D&D games the next time a new one starts. I am only able to get together with my gaming buddies once a month at most.

Not to play the role of the hipster elitist exclusionist, but there are like 8 of us regularly playing in/running 1-3 of the Halforums.

We've had people come from off-forum just to ask us to join up.

We fill up pretty quick. :smug:

I honestly can't wait to get back to Julie's game sometime...

Way to be a hipster elitist exclusionist.

I really don't understand how Scott Kurtz can be SO GORRAM FUNNY while his comic is... not.

Writing comedy and being spontaneously funny are two entirely different skills.

I can sympathize.

Everything I do or say is comedy gold.

I think it's due to comfort level. When he's dong PvP, he's aware he's doing it specifically for an audience, and all that entails. When he does stuff like PAX or back when he was running his WoW guild, he played himself, as if he were solely among friends (which he was), and the crowd is there for him. So he's a funny fucker in person when he doesn't have time to consider or second-guess how he comes across, but whenever he does PvP, he probably consciously tones down ideas for "consumption".

I know lots of folks like that.

Just finished part 10.
That became possibly the most epic D&D encounter I've heard/ played through. MAN that was awesome.

Very fanservicey, but that's cool because I'm a fan. :)

There was fan service a plenty, to be sure, but I get the feeling most of the fan service would still be there if there fans weren't, y'know? I know my D&D party has a lot of inside, recurring jokes too. Either way it was enjoyable fan service.

Incidentally:

Heh, I worded that strange. I mean that among the encounters I have had experience with, either firsthand or by proxy, it is amongst the most epic. Clearly I don't mean that I played in it.

Also:
Making the Durogar look like one of those hell rocks to tempt the beast was friggin' genius, its too bad he had to roll like crap.

Episode 10 was a fantastic finish to the session

Scott's multiple mulligans on his attack roll had me in tears!

Me too. That whole section was hilarious. I too play a dwarf fighter, and I know EXACTLY how he feels.
