It seems that every time a new movie is released lately a small part of me dies.

Forget Alf, bring back that Ecto Cooler.

Alf was a major part of my childhood television watching. I always tuned in for the latest episode.

That said, it has not aged well and I'd prefer it remain in the past.

Most things in the past should. Messing with the timestream can prove disastrous.

Didnt Alf get caputed in the series finale?

Yeah, but then there was a made-for-TV movie where he escaped.

And in a twist of irony, he is no longer an alien, he is now a teenage mutant.

Redundant.

No. No thank you. Especially if it includes a CGI Alf.

I feel the same way about an inevitable Gremlins sequel (honestly surprised it hasn't happened, yet): just don't make the gremlins in goddamn CGI. Puppets and stop motion or GTFO.

At least we can collectively hate on the Beetlejuice remake coming out.

SeraRelm

Wait what?

There are some roles that are completely defined by the actors who played them. For example Freddy Kreuger just isn't Freddy Kreuger without Robert Englund (I mean, I love Jackie Earle Haley, but he just wasn't Freddy), and Beetlejuice just isn't Beetlejuice without Michael Keaton.

Along those lines, MAN have I lost faith in Tim Burton in recent years.

No. also, "FFS".

The guy wrote that shitty Dark Shadows movie? I'm not sure I have a reaction image to express myself with here. Let me see.

Oh, this might work.
