[Movies] ALF coming to the big screen?!

Is there no way that you will not see an ALF movie?

Alf was a major part of my childhood television watching. I always tuned in for the latest episode.

That said, it has not aged well and I'd prefer it remain in the past.

Most things in the past should. Messing with the timestream can prove disastrous.
 
I feel the same way about an inevitable Gremlins sequel (honestly surprised it hasn't happened, yet): just don't make the gremlins in goddamn CGI. Puppets and stop motion or GTFO.
 
There are some roles that are completely defined by the actors who played them. For example Freddy Kreuger just isn't Freddy Kreuger without Robert Englund (I mean, I love Jackie Earle Haley, but he just wasn't Freddy), and Beetlejuice just isn't Beetlejuice without Michael Keaton.

Along those lines, MAN have I lost faith in Tim Burton in recent years.
