While attempting to find a video of that awesome scene where he smashes Loki, I found an image of Hulk rising out of some debris, with what appeared to be a broken ceiling above him and a bunch of fire around him. That lead me to this website, here is the image.

Now one would think this image represents the fight with the Chitari, but if that is the case, why does Hulk look calm? Almost concerned? I think this shot was ORIGINALLY supposed to be him rising out of the debris in that factory he crashed into, but the scene was cut and they added the fire to make the shot looks like it was happening during the invasion for promotional purposes.
Watch the interview, and Mark pretty much confirmed it. He speaks that the most heartbreaking scene he saw cut was the extended scenes of him and Harry Dean Stanton, in which banner has his ultimate "come to jesus" moment.

Remember, Harry Dean Stanton said that when he walked up, the Hulk was AWAKE. Obviously a little fall from the sky was not going to slow him down, so why is Harry not blood pudding? It goes back to that whole child thing I love about the Hulk. When you piss off a kid, he throws a tantrum, and considering everyone in the world keeps attempting to capture him and put him in "time out" he lashes out in rage and fear. He does not want to be caged. As the old man was not a threat, maybe even asked if he was okay, the Hulk calmed down and realized the old man was not really someone that needed to be smashed. He didn't have that built up anger towards the man like he did towards S.H.I.E.L.D and the other Avengers at the time of his first transformation, due to all the arguing that happened just beforehand and the knowledge Fury had a cage for him.
When Harry woke Banner up and gave him clothes, mentioning that when he first saw him he was "awake", Banner then marveled that Harry was not hurt, I think he came to realize that the Hulk is not always a bad entity, and that if he just gave in and gave Hulk a proper focus, that the Hulk would do the right thing in the end. This is a staple of the character for me, and having some scene in which Banner "gains control" of the Hulk would be more damaging to his core, Banner and the Hulk work best as individual personalities constantly leveraging eachother, the brainy scientist and the big green kid with anger problems. That is my opinion anyways.
