And in other news, I am a horrible person for laughing at this news.

....the toddler need THERAPY?

What kind of child are they raising?!

If I put Jet in the over head compartment for 10 seconds he would have a fucking blast!

Her child must actually be a bird of some kind.

Jay

Fucking bullshit.

I WAS SHOCKED

SHOCKED

comooon

#4

HCGLNS

Note that in the three months since the incident, the couple is no longer married.

Not that a divorce would impact the mental health of a toddler.

Only a luggage compartment can do that.

#5

Ravenpoe

Ravenpoe

Yeah... this is bullshit, and someone looking for a big payoff.

#6

HCGLNS

But I think we've learned a new way to keep Jet out of the crib...

#7

LittleSin

LittleSin

He still isn't out, btw.

That will probably be a rant in the next few days..but it's one I have brought upon myself.

What fantasy universe are you living in, where that is EVER appropriate?

The one I live in. The one I live in...

I hope the guy that got fired got some severance pay for that bullshit.

The problem isn't that it's a music number about the horrible crime of babies being abandoned and left for death by teenage girls, prompted by a society in which teenage pregnancy is seen as a public opinion death sentence and government sanctions are trying their best to make it even more so, or the fact that it makes light of the ending of lives that had not even gotten their start yet.

It's the fact that it's fucking Family Guy. That's just lame.

How's about I come over and make you a single mother?

...

Even I feel creepy now.

Yeah any kind of dirty thing that references motherhood is super creepy....

my first thought was that's hot my second thought was i wonder who does her eyebrows...

#25

SeraRelm

Same person who does Katy Perrys.

I always thought she looked kind of adorable in that part of the video but that clip makes her look a little terrifying....

Oh, for crying out loud. If that baby could handle 9 months in a womb I think it can handle a plane ride in an overhead compartment.

Not even a plane ride. Just 10 seconds.

My serious thoughts are,
1. For putting your hands on some ones child without their permission in your workplace; you should be facing stern consequences from your employer.
2. Seeking to explain all the troubles your family is having through this single incident is not going to help your family.

/serious

If I forgot to buy a ticket for Yoshi and we were travelling, I would stuff him in the overhead compartment. To check him would be inhuman!

#31

Azurephoenix

Azurephoenix

Both of my sons would have found the incident amusing... hell my oldest purposefully hides in dark places when we play hide and seek. The woman in the story is an over reacting twit.

This coming from the guy that used Yoshi as a stepping stone to greater things, while dooming yoshi to his death in the process, knowing that there's probably another yoshi just around the corner.

That's what you get, though, from a guy who eats mushrooms and leaves his girlfriend lying around for reptilian predators.

I wonder if the baby daddy left because the mom over-fucking reacted to the game they were playing. Crying for days? really!?

EVERY universe! That's damned funny. Love that clip.

You know what my biggest issue with this is? Its Seth MacFarlene doing the voice. HE ALWAYS DOES THE VOICE. Every friggin' side character on that show is voiced by him. Its cool when someone like Billy West or Hank Azaria takes damn near every voice on their show, cause they have the chops to do it. But Seth MacFarlene simply does not. All his voices sound the same.

#37

Dave

Dave

And that's part of the joke.

#38

checkeredhat

And that's part of the joke.
I think its him wanting to squeeze even more money out of it for himself rather than actually hire people who know what they're doing and bring some quality to the show. I'd believe it was part of the joke, if it were only on Family Guy and not also on every other thing he does.

At least he does get Ralph Garman to do a few. But sheesh.

Seth MacFarlane is a good voice-actor, he doesn't need any more actors. He needs more WRITERS that's for sure, if we've all seen the newest episodes. There not THAT bad but they get a little...deep.

#40

LittleSin

LittleSin

"Deep"?

#41

Yoshimickster

Remember the one where Meg stood up to the family during that thunder-storm? It was...heavy. Very very heavy. Not bad, just heavy. It just feels weird how dramatic this show can get at times.

Ah man, I've been putting that off for like EVER. I don't think I'd be able to watch it without crying.

Edit: It's not just you LittleSin. TO CONFUSE IS THE EFFORT OF ALL YOSHIS! WHICH IS A DIFFERENT SPECIES FROM THE DINOSAUR BUT LIKES BEING COMPARED TO THEM BECAUSE THEY ARE CUTE! And NOT useless in Smash bros, shut up Fred you just don't know how to use him. Fred is my cousin.

#46

SeraRelm

Sure he is, Yosh... suuuure he is.

The only remotely "deep" episode of Family Guy I've ever seen was the one where Bryan talks about committing suicide. They even filmed that one differently, with very little goofiness or music. But even that one was barely a surface scratch.

#48

SeraRelm

The one with Brian and Stewie locked in that vault was the first time they did an episode without the segue to random humor.

I'm that case... Mr. Conway Twitty.

I always considered Conway Twitty to be what was wrong with Nashville Country Music. But dammit, I still like him.

My biggest issue is Family Guy musical numbers are NEVER funny. They're usually directly lifted from whatever source material he's homaging without any changes.

And that Conway Twitty thing has to be the most obnoxious filler any TV show has ever come up with.

...me too. But nowadays Seth tries hittin' the drama card a little too much. Remember the kidney episode? How serious was that one? I'm not saying it's bad but...man.

I disagree with the musical numbers, but agree 100% with the Conway Twitty. My lord that was annoying.
