Jurors deliberated more than six days after hearing the Democrat accused of using or keeping $630 worth of gift cards. She allegedly solicited most of the cards from a wealthy developer and then bought electronics at Best Buy, clothes at Old Navy and knickknacks at Target.

That is a snippet. I mean seriously.... is the mayor that hard up to steal from the poor?? She might lose her job for a mere 630$ worth of giftcards.

edit: of course the defense team is claiming they are "anonymous" and thus the mayor can use it. Isn't taking "bribe" even in giftcard not allow?
