I feel somewhat sad but also slightly appropriate? for the Golden Girls jokes in the other thread. If there's a heaven, I hope those 4 are splitting a cheesecake right now.

She got to the end of 2021 and decided she wasn't doing another one. I can respect it.

She had a hell of a career. And how many actors or actresses can say they had a major resurgence at her age? I don't know what started it, but she became something of a meme, then she hosted stuff like SNL and all of a sudden, she was a household name again since the Golden Girls.

It was a heck of a thing.

I was at the grocery checkout line tonight and saw one of the magazine headlines. It read "Betty White at 100." Oof, they published it too soon.

They kept making a big deal about her 100th birthday coming up and I was just thinking to myself "something bad is going to happen before that."

At the 2006 Shatner roast...

Ah man, this one makes me sad. She was a delight.
