If you happen to be awake in the wee hours tonight, might go have a look at the moon.

Apparently bad weather will make it hard to see if you're east of the Mississippi though.

Gonna set my alarm to 2am and try to catch a glimpse. It might be cloudy here, but it's worth a shot.

A customer mentioned it would be coming.
I might just peek.

I got all kinds of fog around here. I should be able to see the color change, though no detail.

Clear and bright in Texas. Hadn't started yet though.

D'oh. Thought it was tomorrow morning, was this morning...And I was awake anyway, but didn't look outside. Dumb.

But I was sleeping. Like a normal person who doesn't give a shit about the moon.

I saw one back in 1996. Waiting for some dead beat parent to pick their kid up from a Football game. Man, 2014 sounded like a long time away then. Especially to the 15 year old kid I was guarding.

I saw the eclipse go almost halfway in and then decided I was too tired to stay up for the rest.

I do remember that when I lived in Texas I saw several bright red moons, but I don't think it ever had anything to do with an eclipse. I wonder what that was about?

Dust from the LLano Estacado.

The clouds cleared up just enough. We got to see the moon go into total eclipse and by the time we were heading to bed it was coming back out again. Mars and Arcturus were visible near the moon, too.

Saw it at the halfway point, and at full eclipse. Pretty cool stuff.
