I'll start with this. Johnny Football is one hit to the knee away from being Johnny Would You Like Fries With That. It may take a punch in the face from a teammate to make him realize that.

Expectations were low in Morgantown, but down 17-7 to William and Mary at halftime?

Still, better than the result in Manhattan. Sorry, K-State.

If these allegations are true, there's a heap of trouble coming Ohio State's way.

Sorry, my alma mater doesn't start the season until next Saturday.

Mizzou struggled in the first quarter, but turned it around pretty well after that. Playing FCS teams is fun!

Oregon State disagrees.

Not much activity in this thread!! Let me stir things up!

Glad to see Bama take out A&M. Hopefully, someone will shut down LSU too (Les Miles is such a tool).

I don't have a lot of hope for my beloved Sooners. Weak QB and OL. Not a great D either. As long as they take down Texas, then it's a successful season.

@DarkAudit how's WVU liking the Big XII? :troll:

Okstate

Meanwhile, teams from Wisconsin continue to get screwed by refs when playing west coast teams (even though Arizona isn't actually on the west coast, but whatever, they're part of the Pac 12).

If this keeps up, I think Holgersen gets left in Waco.

South Carolina continues to aggravate me. They play great in the first half and then suck out loud in the second. We lost to Georgia and have just been able to keep ahead of the likes of UCF and Kentucky.

Oh, our starting qb is out for the year. Thats a disappointing end to his career. This season sucks.

#11

Oh OU you really know how to make me sad. I'm sure we'll get beat up on by Tech, Baylor, and Okstate now. Le sigh.
Were the mighty Stoops bros. a fluke?

Because of OU, we will likely have Mack Brown for another season...

Ha! That's what we were all saying up here (North of the RR)! No love for Mack anywhere!

Perhaps I spoke too soon. Mauk looked good against one of the best defenses in the country.

Not a good day to be a highly ranked team in the SEC... unless you're Alabama.

Is someone going to take 'Bama down a peg?

Like, say, maybe, Jacksonville?

YOU CAN'T LICK OUR COCKS!!

uh, but you may still beat us at football...

#22

I can NOT believe the end of that game. Holy shit. When we went for the field goal, I thought it was over. That Mizzou would score a TD and it'd be done. Then the field goal, I figured would be a chip shot and we'd head to OT #3... Hitting the upright was incredible, I am stunned. Mizzou was the better team tonight. SC stole that one.

#23

4th and 15...

I want to die

#24

Damn, that was a tough loss for Mizzou.

#25

blotsfan

A tough loss which is why we haven't clinched the SEC East yet. But we still can. Johnny football is coming to town and if we win, we're playing some school in Alabama next week. We lose and we're not. So nervous.

#26

jwhouk

Go Auburn.

#27

Dave

Dave

Okay, so Iowa today beat the tar out of Nebraska. But Iowa, you say, is an 8-4 team. They aren't that good!

Here's the four teams they lost to: Ohio State (11-0), Michigan State (10-1), Northern Illinois (11-0), & Wisconsin (9-2). The teams Iowa has lost to are a combined 41-3.

This team is pretty damned good.

#28

jwhouk

That and $3.75, dude, will get you a grande latte at Starbucks.

I don't think the Hawkeyes will be doing any BCS Bowls this year. Plan on a visit to Tempe for the BW3 Bowl.

#29

blotsfan

So lets see:

Go Michigan
Go Florida
Go TCU
Go Auburn? (not sure about this one)

And of course go Mizzou!

Now, for the Big Ten title game. Go Spartans.

Well, my Gamecocks won their 5th straight rivalry game vs Clemson, c'mon Aggies and we can make it to Atlanta for the SEC Championship game.

Sorry, @jwhouk

Edit: Well, Texas A&M failed, Congrats to Mizzou and good luck versus Auburn

How does one set up a kickstarter? I need to raise ~$11 million. :rage:

#37

Well, at least the Tigers beat the Tide and then the Tigers lost to the Gamecocks. Although the Tigers then beat the Aggies to advance to the championship game where the Tigers will face off against the Tigers.

Best part was that Saban demanded that extra second. I enjoyed watching him eat crow. Now the retard Bama base is whining about how Davis was out of bounds. What a bunch of babies.

And now Mich State beats Ohio State to send the BCS into an epileptic fit of uselessness. Looks like Florida State is the only unbeaten team in the nation. But who should play them for all the marbles? Everyone else has a loss on the books, including Auburn, Mich State, Ohio State, Alabama, etc. So who gets it? While it's probably Auburn, is that the right choice? Sure their only loss was to #6 LSU, but 'Bama's only loss was to #4 Auburn. And Ohio State lost to #10 Mich State.

If you go by strength...'Bama should get the nod.

Just to be clear, I don't care who gets in. My Hawkeyes had a great season and were so close they could taste it. I'm just pointing out how messed up the current system is. Don't even get me started on other 1-loss teams like Baylor or UCF, who should also be in the conversation but for some reason are not.

Its easily Auburn. Alabama shouldn't go over them because they didn't win the SEC and lost to you know...Auburn.

And it could've been us going there :(

#46

General Specific

General Specific

Auburn definitely should go. They beat Bama and then won the SEC title. They got hot when they needed to and have been unstoppable on the ground.

Ohio State had an easy schedule and then couldn't beat a tough team when they had to. With the number of straight wins they had, if they had also beaten Michigan State, then maybe the conversation would be different.

You can't really make a case for any one loss team to go ahead of Alabama, so that counts the rest of the teams out. If Missouri had beaten Auburn, then Bama would be back in the conversation as well. If Alabama can't go due to the late loss to Auburn, then the choice seems rather obvious.

Please Lord, no. Keep Brown!
BOOMER!

I can't believe Oklahoma made it to a proper bowl game this year. I don't quite think that they deserve it though. If Bama doesn't stomp all over them then I'll be even more surprised. OU was just one interception away from not being in this spot. This could be a bit of preview for OU-Texas next year? I hope not!

52 to 14.

The last time Mount Union lost that badly to another team, Lance Leipold and I were attending UW-Whitewater.

Fifth National Championship in six seasons. I'd say that's impressive. :)

ESPN had a fun fact during the semis last week. Mount Union and UW-Whitewater only lose to... each other. :)

#52

jwhouk

Yep. Although last year UWW lost to three other teams. But UMU? We're it for them.

I still say we should play a home-and-home series over a two-year period.

Saban's wife buying the house in Austin was a great investment. It earned her Husband another 1 to 1.5 million a year.

Meanwhile, my team made it to a bowl game for the first time in a decade, and they completely Couged it. I wish that I couldn't believe that they managed to fuck that up so badly, but as a fan of their team for the past 25 years, I was not a bit surprised.

#68

Noles win their second BCS title - stopping the SEC run of champions.

Now, could we set up a game between Michigan State and Florida State for a playoff champion?

#69

sixpackshaker

sixpackshaker

I still don't see how a playoff of 4 teams will help the situation. There needs to be a playoff between the champions of each of the major conferences.

#70

drawn_inward

drawn_inward

I am overjoyed for my alma mater. Having Adrian Peterson on your sideline is better than having a chick in the stands for recruiting apparently!

#71

jwhouk

jwhouk

I would hope that, when the Championship committee does its selections for next year, they would make sure that each of the four teams involved are conference champions - and not make the mistake of, "Oh, let's include Alabama because they're the fourth-ranked team in the nation."

That would have meant FSU vs. MSU and Auburn vs. Stanford for the playoffs this year.

#72

BErt

I would LOVE to feel confident that that's how it would have fallen this year but I find it hard to believe Alabama wouldn't have been included over a 2 loss Stanford team. Which is why like most I'm skeptical that this will be all that much better than the BCS.

Mizzou kicks the best wr in the country off the team because he's a piece of shit. His third arrest in two years. The first two were just pot, so I didn't really care. But apparently now he threw a woman down a few flights of stairs. Why do people have to be so stupid?

#74

sixpackshaker

I wonder if any team would put up with his shit now. It is as good as any reason for Mizzou to end his career.

#75

He'll play FCS and be a first rounder in 2015. I guarantee it. He's a once in a generation talent.

I read it as a few stairs. Not that that makes his actions better, only less potentially injurious.
