I notice that there are 48 over 80 guests browsing while only 14 members are here.
While this 5:1 ratio suggests you are highly amused by our antics, which is flattering, you must know that we all live and die by the random approval of strangers.
So even if you don't plan on contributing text to the threads, please consider registering and signing in so you can like our posts, and provide that internet-validation we so dearly crave.
It's not enough to laugh at our vapid comedy and move on - we can't observe and relish your amusement. Please, do your part and like a post today!

If you don't, he'll have another kid! Don't push him! The man is crazy!

Also remember: I work for the government, and know where you live.

I wonder how many hits we get by the cosplay thread alone.

Officer_Charon
Or how many lurkers go to the cosplay thread, hoping for covert panty shots/nipple slips?
That looks alot like my house, except mine is made of mud...as I hail from the wasteland of the great red south. Nobody can find me here either. Side note, 3 weeks later and my clothes still have red dirt stains on them. Never going inland again.

For every unregistered lurker, God kills a catgirl.
^ The kind of song a lurker would sing ... IF THEY WEREN'T BUSY LURKING, THAT IS.

I usually browse the forum as a guest before I actually sign in to post.

That's actually my MO as well. I browse incognito (nearly) every day, and log in only when there is something for me to say, which isn't quite as often.
However, if it is internet likes you crave, I'm sure I can accommodate.

Those not logged in have the ability to like posts. I've set it up that way.
So I need to log in to make my presence felt? That's outrageous! I demand a more convenient way to exercise my influence without actually having to do anything or to move my fingers! I'm entitled!

Of course you are, you're European. *trollface.jpg*
Quick note. I can't get Unregistered/Guests to be able to Like posts, which I thought would be a good thing. But since I can't, I'm opening up the floor for Unregistered/Guests to be able to reply or post. Their posts are still moderated before they are allowed...for now. If it's too much for the mods to manage then I may make them unmoderated. But if that happens we'll need to watch the spammers.
This is an experiment that may or may not work. There's a lot of people lurking and I like this better than making them have to create an account if they want to say something now and again.
So let's make them feel welcome.

What does a Halforums-style welcome entail? North_Ranger taking off his pants and Shego sharpening her knives?

Arguments about beef.

I'm trying to sleep here. Why are you calling on me?

Nice! Like an IRC channel where your computer dings when someone says your name.
The only reason anyone is in the HF channel at all right now is you have a couple of us who still have it in our default channel list and don't bother to leave.
Stienman, if you love lurkers so much, why don't you marry them?

Should close the forums down from non registered view for 24 hours.... randomly... once a week.
People will register.

Semi-Lurker?
Always logged in, barely posting?

You guys post more than I can read, let alone join in the posting

according to my cyclical calendar, now that we've passed through the "meta-commentary thread" phase, we've moved swiftly into "come out lurkers" phase. In the upcoming weeks I predict a rash of locked bitchy threads.
