No kidding. I think I saw one bad mobo in 2 years doing tech support for a decently sized Dell-only university.

I'm not counting the ones users destroyed via coffee and such, of course.

Oh I caught about 5,000 bad Dell Mobos at my office once. Dell had to do the warranty replacements for free. I got a wireless headset as a bonus.

Yes, one shipment. About half the computers for the agency. It was around 2004 when Dell bought some shitty, mislabeled capacitors. The mobo would fail, and take the power supply with it. When a user went to turn on the PC, they would only get a amber light on the power button. I had about 10 of these calls a day for a week, and I took the evidence to the head of IT once it was obviously state wide.
