[Gaming] Diablo 3 : Ser Farm-A-Lot

Having a really good time with the Angry Chicken build right now, though I've been calling it Super Chicken (Bok Bok Bok). Getting resources is INSANE and I'm running around like a mad chicken and blowing up, even with sub-optimal gear. Hoping to get some nice stuff soon so I am doing more damage and can handle T-8 for good resources. I'm insanely fast and get a group of 5 bounties done in about 10 minutes.

Squidleybits ran me through on a seasonal barbarian and I just watched her fuck shit up. So I created a Witch Doctor and she ran me to 70 and I then modeled her build. Holy crap. It's amazing how a barbarian and monk who are both close combat fighters do little damage compared to this build. I went T1 to learn the character and I blew through everyone like they aren't even there. I'm not even gemmed yet. I have open spots for 6 gems (1 helm, 5 other) and I haven't needed them yet. I'll gem tonight or tomorrow and then hit t3 or t4 to test.

I saw you running around. I'm still running a barb for my seasonal, but he won't take off until I get a couple more set pieces (so far I can only do up to T4).
I do have 50 leg powers extracted already, though.

Right now I'm collecting materials to attempt to get an Ancient Manajuma's Carving Knife. Should up my damage a ton and allow me to to some T8 instead of the T7 I'm doing now. Ancient gear would help a whole lot I think.

Finally completed my set, went from being able to do T4 to T7+, currently working on accumulating legs/sets and leveling gems until I can finally run TX.

Awesome!

I made the $5/ day investment for "premium" internet at the hotel so I could play.

If we're both on later I'd be up for some gem levelling.

How to level your legendary gems > lvl 75.
Just play with these guys. Simple!

Just gotta get your char up to > Paragon 1300, that's all.
(that rift boss has > 48 trillion HP, btw)

60% chance to upgrade. Failed 3 times. Dat's some bullshit.

Eh. I've rolled three ones in a row on a d20. Sometimes it happens. On D3 RNG, I've managed to succeed in three upgrades with 30% chance. It kind of majorly sucks to fail three times at that level, but it's not outside the realm of possibility.

For those who didn't know, your chance to upgrade a gem is:
  • 100%: If the Greater Rift Level = Gem's Rank + 10 or more
  • 90%: If the Greater Rift Level = Gem's Rank + 9
  • 80%: If the Greater Rift Level = Gem's Rank + 8
  • 70%: If the Greater Rift Level = Gem's Rank + 7
  • 60%: If the Greater Rift Level exactly = Gem's Rank up through Gem's Rank + 6
  • 30%: If the Greater Rift Level = Gem's Rank - 1
  • 15%: If the Greater Rift Level = Gem's Rank - 2
  • 8%: If the Greater Rift Level = Gem's Rank - 3
  • 4%: If the Greater Rift Level = Gem's Rank - 4
  • 2%: If the Greater Rift Level = Gem's Rank - 5
  • 1%: If the Greater Rift Level = Gem's Rank - 6
  • 0%: If the Greater Rift Level ≤ Gem's Rank - 7 or lower
So in a perfect world, you would run a rift 12 or more levels above the gem you hope to upgrade when you're finished, but you should think carefully before running any rifts less than 2 above the gem you hope to upgrade.
