Are there movies you loved when you saw them, only to be disappointed that there was no video release. Or if there was, it was only an ancient VHS version?
I can think of two. As of last check, no DVD existed of these (though that may no longer be true.)
1. The Peanut Butter Solution I can think of no one who was not suitably creeped out by this Canadian film back in the mid 80s. It's just plain weird, but also really good. I love a kid's film that goes totally over the edge like this. (See also Troll, but that's easy to find.)
2. The Halloween Tree Excellent made for TV (I think) adaptation of Bradbury's classic. Huge Bradbury fan--man can that guy write. The animated movie featured Leonard Nimoy and Bradbury himself, and a decent score. Nice and dark.
