Leo was the reason I always told my parents that I loved them before I ended a conversation with them. When in person, followed by a hug.

I feel extra sad about this because I actually knew Dr. Ruth. Back when I worked for Citigroup in the early 2000's, during the Sandy Weil/Chuck Prince/etc. era, my job was running the private meeting/dinning/entertaining rooms for those guys. I was also the front desk for anyone who came in. One of the VPs was close friends with Dr. Ruth, and she would drop in every once-in-a-while to have lunch. She was very nice, soft spoken, and so tiny I could fit her in my pocket.

I always had her confused with Sue Johnston, the Canadian sex educator in the 90s.
