Look, just tell us how much you want us to hate you EA and we'll get right on it. A bud of mine that I play CoX with mentioned he was having billing problems with his canceled Warhammer account, apparently for some folks it's pretty bad.
From the Kotaku article:
One of the commenters even made a poem about it:
From the Kotaku article:
So a bank will give up free cash just cause EA says so? Damn talk about having a fantasy world.A screw-up in EA's Warhammer Online billing system has resulted in many players being charged upwards of 22 times for a one-month subscription, filling bank accounts with overdraft fees and the Warhammer forums with very angry players.
EA says:
We have confirmed with our vendor that players who have been charged multiple times for their subscriptions should start seeing a reversal of charges within 24-36 hours. We anticipate that once the charges have been reversed, any fees that have been incurred should be refunded as well.
One of the commenters even made a poem about it:
By Laughingdog:
Their creation flagging, the subscription count tarnished
An idea in their head did spring, their coffers they'd garnish!
While orcs, dwarves, and elves did fight
Their users they'd charge, all through the night!
The code was entered, the deed finished
If they hadn't done it, they thought, their returns would diminish
They all sat back and enjoyed the scene
From their yachts in the bay while they earned some green
A cry arose from the disquieted masses
\"Refund our money, or we'll kick your asses!\"
Amazed, astonished, dumbfounded, and stunned
They thought to themselves, \"Hey that's our retirement fund!\"
Hoping to hush the riotous riffraff
They urged everyone to please contact their sales staff
Finally, reparations of their ill-gained funds had begun
\"Well guys, while it lasted, it sure was fun!
