Yes, they really are. When my son was first diagnosed with autism, I went online to find out more about it. I ran across a depressingly large number of quack sites devoted to autism, where you will find people who rant that the pharmaceutical companies have purposely "poisoned" their child with vaccines, but then they will turn around and happily buy a $100 magic potion from some random quack on the internets
and feed it to their child. But, hey! He had six -- SIX!!! -- pieces of anecdotal evidence to back up his "research"!
