Yeah, I know - of the 2 people who remember me, it's been quite a while since I've posted. Sorry about that...

Anyway. Figured I'd mention this if anyone cares to watch a game of TF2 tonight. I'm one of the participants for the Community VS Pros II: Summer Sizzler event (Specifically, I'll be the pyro on the community team - and I'll be representing my home gaming clan, [VGN], a European-based TF2 (And other things) clan).

If you're curious - what we're doing is an exhibition match. We're having a team of 6 professional players face off against a team of 9 NON-professional players. The pro team will be allowed to run a team however they want that conforms with normal match rules (It'll probably be 2 scouts, 2 soldiers, a medic, and a demoman), while the community team (Us! Woohoo!) are restricted to highlander rules - 1 person using each of the 9 classes in game. Further, we'll have Robin Walker - the lead developer of TF2 at Valve - as our sniper.

If you're still there reading this, the event will be at 8:00 CST(Chicago) time, and I believe it'll be shown on this webpage here. Here's hoping we don't get clobbered.

Thanks. Going to need it - as I mentioned, I'm playing the pyro, but normally I main a demo. Granted, I play pyro second only to demo, but it's still strange to me.

That sounds like a ton of fun! Good luck. You should spend the time between now and then developing a halforums spray.

Really do need to get a spray, finally. Also, I need to learn how to actually set it in TF2. If someone would be willing to make a halforums.com spray (In the hour and a half before the match starts), I'll use it in the match.

But wow... when you almost airblasted those guys off the edge of the map? That was awesome.

Nicely done winning the Payload round. Lots of juicy backstabs on Pyyyour and some excellent Airblasting.

EDIT: Congrats on winning the whole thing!

Yeah. You've no idea how much I was screaming at my screen at that particular moment. "GET OFF THE LEDGE! OFF THE LEDGE! OFF THE F***ING LEDGE! GRAAAAAAH!"

That was tough. Very tough - but I'm glad we won! Woot! Thanks for watching, guys.

Holy crap, you guys were up against some pretty big names. Wonderwall and Carnage are legends as soldier and scout, respectively.

Yes, and I can tell you that they hurt. Especially the scout. My entire job that night was to stay on the medic and protect her (If you were wondering why I wasn't really scoring very high or killing much, it's because that wasn't my job - I was airblasting most of the time), and the biggest challenge to that were those damn scouts.

In any event, it was fun! Kinda wish we could do that more regularly. If anyone missed it and still wants to watch it, it's being hosted on eXtv's Twitch channel or wherever this is.
