Add some garlic and sauce to the cucumbers and you have awesomeness.

Scuse you, are you not feeding my out-sourced child cucumbers because of your bias??

Cucumbers have a very mild flavor, and add a delightful crunch to many salads. They do not cook well, though.
But what do I know? I think the best part of celery is the bright yellow immature middle part.

Cucumbers in vinegar with just a sprinkle of salt and some oil. YUM!

I also like pickles.

But it's really the smell that's most interesting:
Alan R. Hirsch, MD, neurological director of the Smell and Taste Treatment and Research Foundation in Chicago, conducted a study that looked at how different smells stimulated sexual arousal. He found that [...the] smell of cheese pizza, for instance, increased blood flow to the penis by 5 percent, buttered popcorn by 9 percent, and lavender and pumpkin pie each by 40 percent. For women, lavender and pumpkin pie also had a stimulating effect; however, the smell of [anise/fennel/licorice] combined with the scent of cucumber created the greatest increase in blood flow to the vagina.
"lust for cucumbers," indeed.

You laugh, but it was a surprisingly short time after this study came out that you started to see cucumber-scented deodorants and bodywashes appear on the market.[DOUBLEPOST=1409263416,1409263319][/DOUBLEPOST]

I'm laughing because anise cucumbers sounds too much like anus cucumbers and I'm stuck with a 10 year old's sense of humor.
