You just reminded me of the debacles that were the AvP films.Charlie Dont Surf said:I'm just happy this isn't a movie.
Yes.ThatNickGuy said:That looks off the HOOK, yo! Though, I hadn't heard about a new one coming out. Is it going to be like the other AvP games and allow you to play all three sides?
This is why I'm letting myself get excited about the game.General Specific said:Additionally, I believe that the same people who did the first AvP game are doing this one.
if you enjoyed getting drunk and mocking it, i think it did it's job admirablyCharlie Dont Surf said:I think I watched the first AVP while drunk and mocking it loudly with a group of friends.
It better be, or i'll have to eat their brains...ThatNickGuy said:That looks off the HOOK, yo! Though, I hadn't heard about a new one coming out. Is it going to be like the other AvP games and allow you to play all three sides?
Having all 3 sides showcased well at the same time within 2 hours is probably a daunting task they're no willing to take on just yet... and they wouldn't want to make a movie where they missed the point entirely...Shegokigo said:I was hoping this was about an AvP movie. That would be amazing, such great source material for a strong film I think.
Why haven't any production companies jumped on this yet?
The previous games were balanced just fine. The Aliens are fast, stealthy and have a possible one hit kill. Predators are juggernauts, and the Marines are versitile (multiple weapons, movement detectors).Chibibar said:This looks pretty cool.
I hope it will have a good Vs. factor like L4D. You can play any of the three against each other. Balancing it will be tough. I can see player going "suicide" with alien mob to use the acid blood attack.
Ooh RAH, mother fucker!IronBrig4 said:I'll probably enjoy playing the Marine campaign. A day in the Corps is like a day on the farm. Every meal a banquet. Every paycheck a fortune. Every formation a parade. I LOVE the Corps!

This really isn't any better than the current AvP movies. If they ever do make a film about both xenomorphs and Yautja, they would have to do something like this:
Set it in the same era as "Aliens" and pit a small group of civilians in a survival situation on a space station overrun with xenomorphs, maybe as a result of the Weyland-Yutani Corporation's experiments again. At the beginning of the film, Colonial Marines could come to see why the station has stopped responding, and attempt to rescue the survivors. They would spend a lot of time fighting and running away from Aliens. After approximately halfway through the film, a Predator would be revealed and shown to also be hunting the Aliens. It would periodically appear and take out a marine or an alien, acting as both antagonist and saviour to the human civilians, but remaining in the background of the film like an unknown, abstract threat, compared to the constant, unrelenting threat of the Alien swarm. Near the end, all but one of the colonial marines would be dead, and maybe a one or two of the civilians would also have died. They would be faced with an Alien Queen, but, with no airlock in sight, the remaining Marine would be forced to heroically fight her. After wounding her and fighting bravely, he would be killed, but then the Predator would arrive to finish off the Queen. It would then take her head, regard the civilians but leave them alone because they are unarmed, and leave the ship.
