Ok folks, please vote in the poll, and roll your characters. In case #4 wins, volunteers please roll a female character in addition to their male character. Required information is below, spoilered for tidiness. The "Tastes" section applies to both genders.

Unless otherwise specified, always pick only one option from each.

Body type: Average, Thin, Tall, Heavy

Skin tone: Pale, Average, Tanned

Appearance:
Describe basic hair color and Style, Eye color (doesn't have to be the same for both eyes). Optionally, provide concept picture, but not required. I'll do my best to match you to your description or picture. Anime colors (Purple, green, blue etc) absolutely permitted.

Glasses: None/thin framed/thick framed

Team options: Baseball, Kendo, Swimming, Track, Volleyball, Tennis
(Every student is required to pick a team/club for afterschool activities. The team you are on will not affect your athleticism, but rather bring you into contact with other students on the same team more often for social opportunities)

*Badboy- A cynical, byronic, brooding personality who is both intimidating and alluring, and may be slightly more prone to violence. (IE: Somewhere between Ichigo Kurasaki and Vegeta).
*Tough- A stoic, reserved, standoffish personality who is slow to socialize but most dedicated once befriended. (IE: Think Chad, from Bleach)

Scholastic Aptitude 0-5: (Dunce, Slow, Average, Above Average, Smart, Genius)

Athletic Aptitude 0-5: (Hopeless, Out of shape, Average, Quick, Strong, Olympian)

Sexual Orientation: Hetero, Homo, Bisexual <-never changes, never compromises

Self Centeredness: Hedonist, Pleasure seeker, Average, Samaritan, Complete Sap

Morality/Virtue: Shameless Reprobate, Flexible morality, Average, Lawful Good, Zealously Strict

Sociability: Shut-in, Introvert, Average, Outgoing, Busybody

Subconscious Traits (Pick up to 2, optional):
*Forceful personality (Resistant to depression, slightly more prone to violence),
*Withdrawn (Tends to flee instead of socialize),
*Jealous (Hones in on the person he likes, reacts more emphatically to relationship developments both good and bad),

*Negative (More easily depressed, if combined with Forceful, makes you simply more violent),

Applies to both genders, for purposes of both love and friendship. Affects both first impression and later approval gain (people with traits that match taste get larger approval boosts for the same social outcomes).

Just because someone doesn't fit your chosen tastes doesn't mean you can't be friends/a couple, it just takes a little longer.

Just a quick note, for those rolling female characters, you can be very descriptive in appearance. There are about 8 choices of each type of hair for me to pick from, and other tweaks I can make. So "black, long" could be any of 64 combinations. It'd be helpful if you described additional things like forelocks/bangs/straight/wavy/curly/flat/stringy/teased out/completely hides eyes/etc. Otherwise I'll just do the best I can.

I've done up the volunteers as female because it looks like the poll is strongly favoring #4, but if that changes I'll have the male versions done PDQ. Black bar censorship because the character generator doesn't clothe the characters (uniform configuration comes later).

You weren't one of the volunteers (my post was more in reference to Poe, I guess, though you seemed to make an ax-murderer too), you sure you want to change teams?

And in any case, be it Lloyd or Lana, can you look me right in the virtual eyes and tell me you, Officer_Charon, would murder an innocent in cold blood?[DOUBLEPOST=1380838094,1380837549][/DOUBLEPOST]Let me stop being coy for a second. The main problem with Poe's character sheet, and to a lesser degree Charon's, is that they exacerbate the Evil subconscious trait to make it much more likely that they will murder someone - Poe's for her promiscuity potential (brash flirt+dirty minded+reprobate morality), which is likely to cause a breakup (and breakups generally turn stabby with evil characters), and Charon's combination of tough/rough personality traits along with the forceful personality modifier, making a violent confrontation much more likely, and much more fatal.

Now, I'd be more apt to let this slide if I believed that this was in keeping with their actual character, as the whole point of the Halforums House idea, as I understand it, is to simulate actual halforumites (or at least the persona they project on the forums) interacting in a social environment. If we start rolling characters inconsistent with that, the whole thing breaks down and maybe the people who did it "right" wonder why THEY didn't roll oversexed axe murderers too, and then everything just turns ridiculous.

Also, in the interest of full disclosure, here's the deal with the Evil subcon trait: choosing the Evil trait makes it very likely you will murder another character over the course of the game unless you never exeprience a breakup and never make an enemy of another character (the likelihood of that scenario approaches zero as time goes on). However, committing that murder also causes the arrest of your own character, at which point you are removed from the game.

We already had one character with the "evil" trait submitted, but as it didn't have exacerbating factors, it didn't raise too much of an alarm. These two, however, I expect to kill somebody within one or two game weeks.

If you want to stay in the game long term, you might want to try changing evil to one of the forceful attributes that'll make you violent without becoming murdery.

Exactly. If you're just trying to make a character that's mean or gets into more fights, "Irritable" is a better trait to choose. If you're trying to make a character that is mean or unpleasant, a full blown personality shift is probably more in order, say to Badboy for guys or Queen bee, Social Climber, or Impatient and Tense for girls. But here again we get into what I said about the characters being conversions of their namesakes.

Anyway, I've said my piece about possible complications here and my own thoughts on the matter. However, if nobody else has a problem with it, I'm content to let it drop.

This is official notice: Class registration deadline is FRIDAY, 7pm central. After that, slots are first come first served and the guy on the waiting list pretty much has his profile finished, and if he finishes before you guys he'll get one of your slots and whoever is slowest with their character sheet gets to wait for somebody to die so they can transfer in.

I'm starting the game friday night even if there are desks empty.

Yeah. We only got 3 RL lady volunteers as it is. I thought it would simplify, further de-pornify, and un-creepify it a little further if I just left out that part and set everybody to "no preference" on that physical trait. It just struck me as having an even higher "creepy chick repellant" factor than already inherent in using a hentai game to be going around asking over and over saying "ok, and on a scale of 1-100 how big are your boobs?" and asking every single player "Do you like big boobs or little boobs?"

So basically I just left that part out of character creation and tried to eyeball realistic proportions for all players and having them not be a factor in physical tastes.

Don't even get me started on how many dicks I've seen over the last two days.

You can be either at this point. The girls slightly outnumber the boys right now, but we've got so many bisexuals I'm not sure it matters one way or the other.

But you will have to read both sets of traits because you'll need them to tailor your character's desired traits - IE, what they look for in both a friend and in a lover.
