Cake- I Will Survive
Those lyrics will always be "I should have changed that fucking lock" to me now.
haha, I feel the same way. I can't hear the original sung without hearing the Cake version.

This pairing is just too good... Nine Inch Nails- Closer followed by The Who- Baba O'Riley

Dark Tranquillity - Format C: For Cortex

For those who like any sort of metal, give it a listen...surprisingly touching, yet still rocking, song about a father speaking to his unborn son.

The Emperor's New Groove.

"Heeey, everyone hits their stride. You just hit yours fifty years ago. :teeth: "

Earlier I listened to an awesome cover of Joy Division's "Transmission" by The Hot Chip

I am listening to the Taylor Swift album Fearless... Which is weird... I am not a country person but I really like her music.

Today I put Orange on loop for the ride home from work.

Freezepop, "Stake Out"...and switching to...

Camper van Beethoven, "Eye of Fatima pts. I and II"

EDIT: and now Blur's "Coffee & TV"...I really should just put my last.fm back in...

Let me get this out of the way: I'm listening to the song Hayloft by Mother Mother.

Now, the real reason why I posted is I recently heard a great song on the radio but I have no idea who the artist is, and the radio station they play it on rarely, if ever, announces song titles and artist names. I'm hoping someone here may have an answer for me. The song is in the style of Modest Mouse, i.e. it vaguely resembles whatever it is they do from song to song. The song begins with what I can only describe as a strong rolling organ riff which is played several times throughout the song. The chorus, the only other part I can remember, is an anthem with several voices; not harmonizing, just yelling together as though in protest. In addition there is no instrumentation in the chorus just a steady clapping. The lyrics might be something to the effect of:

And I, respect the dead man's chest
And I (something) till nothing's left

Ad infinitum

My Zen DJ just hit me with "You're the One" by the Black Keys, then "Frank's Wild Years" by Tom Waits, "Bad" by Cowboy Mouth, thennn "Millionaire Girlfriend" by Jonathan Coulton. Well played, my little Moment o'Zen (that's his name), well played.

Does Sarah Vowell still contribute to that? I never listened to it, but I know she used to, and she's an amazing writer. So I might have to to hear her high-pitched pop-cultural/political/historical snarky commentary.
