I have been bouncing around 250 for a while. How about you?

99 but I don't do much with it, so there's that.

I have 58 and I pity anyone that does follow me - I use twitter like once every couple of months.

I generally use twitter to see what other people are up to and to ask Ashburner and Pez if Halforums is broken when I can't log on.

I have 13 followers. I don't know why. I never tweet anything.

Maybe it's offensive to some, but I find twitter hate more annoying than twitter use. And that's saying something.

I don't hate Twitter, in fact I use it all the time, I just don't have an account.

Just over 400. Probably be several months to a year before I go past 500, but I post very rarely and so I don't think of it as a particularly useful number.

same, Twitter is an incredibly useful tool / resource that has definitely affected our society in a net positive way

I don't have a twitter account. But I have 554 youtube subscribers.

Really, you guys are pretty much the only social media I need.

There's 79 followers, but it's the account of my character in The Secret World. She uses it rarely, mostly to follow and lurk (hm, sounds a bit like myself here...).
But she went on an excursion to Ireland when I did my vacation there, so there's a few pictures from that on the feed (very meta, especially as there's a picture the character took of its player...).

I have 12, and I'm up to 296 tweets!
...in the course of 5-1/2 years.

A little over 50? I don't use it a lot. I flip flop between being really active and forgetting it exists. I think I follow more than I actually do/say anything follow-worthy. Patton Oswalt's tweets are great.

Actually, I tried to set some stuff up to automatically update Twitter based on activities that were HF related. Turns out that it fricking spammed the hell out of people.

I think China did me a favor when it blocked half this shit. I never got into any of it. I don't really need to be more "online" than I already am.

58, apparently. A lot more than I expected. I read Twitter a lot, but seldom post.

I have maybe 11 or so. Most of whom are you guys. My tumblr autotweets updates to both my comic tumblr and my comic's blog tumblr. That's about all I do lately.

I do have a twitter account for my protagonist, too. But he only has 2 followers, and I rarely update him.

21 between two accounts. I have one account that is just for psych stuff and a personal one.

One thing I don't get is when someone follows a ridiculous amount of people. Like, when it's obvious they're just following back someone who follows them. I only follow about 150 people and even that feels like too much to keep up to date on for any regular basis. Even then, there are only a small handful that I pay attention to (primarily anything by Jim Sterling or MovieBob, because I'm fans of theirs). I'm a casual Twitter user at best, anyway. But are people who follow 100k or more really able to keep up with what those people are tweeting? I can't imagine they can.

It's sort of like when a review for Dill came out some time ago. I suddenly gained about 20+ new followers. I looked up each of them and they were all within this circle of writers in some kind of circle-jerk of following. Each of them followed a ridiculous amount of people, clearly just following back followers. I didn't follow many of them, honestly, because few of them legitimately interested me. And there seems to be some drama or Twitter etiquette faux pas if you don't follow back. I haven't dealt with any, personally, but that seems to be a thing.

In short? Twitter is weird, man.

I follow 600+ people, but I don't think that many are active.

Or maybe I read twitter a lot and miss chunks in between.

59 and I know most of them personally.

16 but half of them are shitty bots that I'm too lazy to block. I really only use it to follow sport stuff and only post when I'm drunk and or bored.

Isn't that what Halforums is for?

Technically, I do have a twitter account, and I think my sister and one of my friends is a follower. But I don't remember my password, my twitter handle, or even what email I used to sign up.
So I'm just going to say I don't have an account.

18, I think... Maybe 17, I dunno.

After 1,000+ tweets, I was kinda expecting more out of it. *shrug* I must've shown a bunch of art and commented on a lot of new trending things but I certainly haven't gotten any mentions/replies back, lol.

Out of the people who watch me, I think a lot of them have long since abandoned their accounts or follow way too many people, rendering being there kind of useless.

As I have no idea what this Twitter thing is, will somebody tell me, what are "Followers". Are they some sort of disciples with whom one gives sermons on mountains? Or are they (And this seems more likely to me.) people who, sheep like, follow because they know no better?

My follower count is a relic from when I used to be interesting. My following count contains large blocs of people on various topics. There's the amphibians/dart frog accounts, the Irish-language people, the French-language ones, tons of science news, etc. I don't really consider it a place where I have friends anymore, with a handful or two of important exceptions. I think the destruction of the non-asshole online skeptical community pretty much ruined Twitter for me in a dozen ways.
