I No Longer Live In a Backwater Town.

If it weren't enough that we now have a 24-hour Wal-Mart Supercenter in town, our public library now has a 3-D Printer for use.

Free. (For now.)

So, 4x4 inches... any ideas on things I should see about getting printed up?

(And what plans do I need for this?)

Print a full-size beer can (or as close to one as you can get).
Run over to take it out of the printer when it's done. Act gleeful.
Pull the tab on the top of it.
Throw your head back as if to take a big swig.
Look all disappointed when nothing comes out, stare at it quizzically, then complain to the librarian that the printer must be broken.

I think shapeways lets you download the files for the stuff they print, free (at least if the creator of the file sets it so, I know the ones I did are available for download)... so that might serve as a catalog of some sort.
