It's a sad day in the Internet Entertainment World...

Bagging on Spoony for this behavior would be like bagging on Yahtzee for never liking any games. It's part of his established persona.

In other words, get over it.

Besides the fact that he's literally telling people that he's trolling them in his twitters.

One thing he is saying that is 100% on target is that people are reacting to this largely like children, as the internet is wont to do.

I meant on Twitter. He nad jow both said that they had the same thoughts.
Then I have no idea. "Top 10 Reasons we hate the ending" and "I thought the ending was genius and if you didn't get it, you're stupid" does not seem like complete agreement to me. Maybe there's some internet version of complete agreement that I was not previously aware of, or maybe it's a "You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means." situation. Like I said, I have no idea.

I've never liked Spoony's "troll" personality. I prefer the days he did game walkthroughs. I've never enjoyed him more than during his Phantasmagoria/SWAT/Ripper/FF vids. I've always thought his "blog" videos were his weakest point.

Counter Monkey has been some of my favorite stuff he's done. Outside the Reb Brown reviews of course. Stirba Were-wolf Bitch.... gotta love it.

I enjoyed his first three Twilight vlogs/rants; haven't gotten around to watching the one for Breaking Dawn he did with Linkara and JewWario.

That one was hillarious. He's basically so traumatized by the movie that he gets drunk while JW and Linkara try to keep him from imploding.

Bumping for a new video, apparently he had some ridiculous food poisoning. Also the first minute or so is about his sick-induced poop, so you know, be ready for that. Otherwise it's not bad, enjoyed more than the usual vlog fare lately. Interesting to see the various props in the background change, as well as the surprise at the end. Don't think I've ever been curious to see where a review lead-in like that goes before.

I had a quite a bit of fun watching it. I'm a lover of toilet humor so his first bit had me giggling and my husband looking at me saying "You are a child."

Also curious about his newest plot..and seeing ff13 in Burtons hand is making me excited!

The FF13 bit started during his FFX-2 reviews. I suspect he's going to tie the Avatar stuff into the Final Fantasy stuff and make it a giant cluster fuck at the end.

Just skip the first 4 minutes if you don't want to listen to him talk about his food poisoning..though he does manage to get a good joke out of it.

Yeah I think part of it is I've just never heard of some of the movies she comes up with (as her name implies, so I expected that) and without knowing anything about the source it's just sort of lost on me, I guess. Also I'm still in her pretty old stuff, too, so there's that.

After recent events, Noah "The Spoony One" Antwiler and Channel Awesome have decided to part ways. Noah has made it clear that he wishes to pursue a course that is different from our own. We feel that with these different aims, it is better for Noah to be free to pursue his own goals unhindered by us.

Noah has been an immense talent on the site and we thank him for his years of hard service, both in numerous episodes of The Spoony Experiment and in the Channel Awesome Anniversary films.

We sincerely wish him the best in all future endeavors, and hope he continues to put out great quality work.

Staff at Channel Awesome
Huh. I wonder what they mean by recent events? Still, this is kind of surprising and came out of nowhere. I think? I don't know. I don't follow the site much or especially their Twittering or anything.

Yeah, as unfortunate as it will be for him to no longer be a part of the yearly movies and whatnot, the dude seems to be really imploding right now. And people who aren't multimillionaires tend to fall hard on their ass when the do so.

If he gets back under control and realizes what a raging toolbox he's been and manages to demonstrate all this to the executive honchos (none of whom are video producers) at Channel Awesome, I can see him coming back to the site. But that seems to be a huge ass "if".

EDIT: What the fuck is wrong with people? Do they really think that Obscurus Lupa has the pull to get anyone, much less a popular reviewer like Spoony, booted? Channel Awesome is a damned legitimate business, they would not part ways with someone as popular as Spoony without a damned good reason.

Spoony's been a raging psycho for awhile now, it's just he seemed to have it under control until whatever the hell happened this time. That's quite an amazing Twitter meltdown, though.

Glanced over Lupa's Twitter/Tumblr, all I can gather is Spoony made some kind of nasty jokes about rape or something along with possibly stalking an ex? I dunno, seems like he's been in a bad place for a looooooooooooooong time.

I seriously doubt it's going to stick. He's too ingrained in the community at this point and is one of the main draws to the site. That doesn't mean he doesn't deserve it for being a raging douche to his friends and coworkers on the site. Does anyone know what set him off? I really hope it wasn't the wedding of Doug and Erin.

Honestly, this really boils down to the fact that he seems to FEED off negativity in the worst way, in that he feels completely justified in treating everyone like shit the moment someone does it to him first. This includes the only people who really, truly give a shit about him. I wonder if he even realizes it?
