Ok I don't actually give a shit. So you can stop acting like I am here freaking out about it. I have merely been trying to figure out what the big deal is. Still haven't gotten an answer on that one.

as I understand it the 'what's new' thing gets updated a lot. I still don't understand the problem with that.

The big deal is that it eats up 1 full page, sometimes, when we hit "New Posts" pushing threads we'd actually like to read/particpate in, to a second page. It's annoying to have to click "all forums read" just to get rid of them for 1-2 "New Posts" update.

Ok I get that but why are the posts you want to participate in more important than the ones other people want to participate in? I can understand not wanting to deal with the game threads but he included the rant/win threads in there too. If those didn't exist and each person had to make a thread each time something he/she cared about happened would that really make the situation better?

Don't recall saying that, or anyone, all we're asking for is the option to ignore threads for a lifetime so WE don't have to see it. It doesn't take anything away from you or make anyone else more important.

I never post in any of the "spam" threads. I do succesfully ignore them. They aren't bad, I just... don't care.

Seems to work so far.

what tangent? jay said those threads were where people posts things no one else cared about so presumably they should not exist. why? because it clogs up the whats new thing. his assessment that no one cares is inaccurate since they are so often posted in. Therefore, it could reasonably be assumed that people would still post about those things in individual threads thus further clogging up the what's new thing.

it's exactly what we are talking about.

Out of curiosity, why not browse using Watched Threads, then hit up What's New afterwards? If shit bothers you that much, it seems like a reasonable method until an Ignore feature gets implemented.
