The supreme court ruled in a five to four vote that officials may strip search people arrested for any offense, however minor, even if the official's have no reason to suspect the presence of contraband.
Now law enforcement has another punishment they can use without due process.
The fourth amendment is, of course, merely a guideline.
While this, in theory, only applies to people arrested and placed in the general jail population, I suspect "general jail population" might be creatively applied by unscrupulous officials.
