Alien, The Storyteller, Hellboy, V for Vendetta, Doctor Who. I haven't seen everything the man's been in, but by god he was amazing in everything I saw him in.

Okay, on one hand, he was 77, so not a bad life lived.

On the other hand, 2017... don't you even THINK about trying to out-do 2016. You already stuck us with Trump and that's too much.

It's off to a "good" start, taking John Hurt and Mary Tyler Moore.

I keep forgetting he's the chest-bursted guy in Alien (and Spaceballs). It's a role that seems more suited to someone of lesser standing.

To be fair, I don't think he was even remotely a big name back then. I don't think any of the actors were, come to think of it.

It's amazing that he came back to redo the scene in Spaceballs, though. For years, I had no idea it was the same guy. Goes to show what kind of a good sport he was about things like that.
