Four more animated classics coming to THREE DEE in theatres!

So much for the "fad" dying out....

I am lenient towards this. Why? Because my theater also has 2D showings. :p Now I get to take the kid to see the classics!

Finding Nemo and Monsters Inc I could see. But Little Mermaid? Seriously?

#4

Jay

Jay

....I always wanted to see Ariel in 3D.

My dream is to wake up in a motel room beside Snow White, caressing her white soft buttocks after I'm done and sing softly in her ears, "When you wishhhh upoooon a staaaaar."

#5

....is there a Woody for that?

Wife will only let me do that if I also get her a "Hugh Jackman as Wolvarine" body pillow with extra bulge action. I don't know if I can handle waking up to me snuggling up on that, since I find myself often stealing my wife's pillows in the morning after she leaves for work. ;)

Be our Guest
Be our Guest
Put your patience to the test
Put those glasses on your nose, Cherie,
And watch our 3-D fest

Fad du jour
Add some depth
Rerelease and we will get
All those greenbacks from your pockets
As our revenue skyrockets!

Monster's Inc., Nemo, too
And maybe Toy Story 2
Then The Rescuers and Bambi will be next
We'll 3-D up our classics*
With some flashy cam tricks
Be our Guest

--Patrick
*except for Song of the South, we would prefer you forgot about that one entirely.

If they weren't adding 3-D to these movies, I'd be all for this. Re-release your classics in select theaters in HD! Hell, put a theater in Disneyland/world that plays classic movies and cartoons ALL DAY LONG, in HD. Many people are too young to have seen the classics in theaters and many older folks would love to relive their childhood with their kids/grandkids.

Yes, because the reason I go to Disneyworld/land is to watch movies.

Hey, it'd be perfect if it starts raining while your there, as had happened to me. Then again that was back in 89/90 and they didn't have all those great enclosed rides they have now.

Emrys

I would love to see Fantasia in 3D.

#20

makare

Ooo yeah Fantasia in 3d would be fun!

#21

Emrys

Emrys

Especially the "Night on Bald Mountain" sequence.

#22

AshburnerX

AshburnerX

Agreed, Fantasia in 3D would be awesome.

#23

makare

When movies are rereleased in 3D or in some other way my first thought isnt "damn they are really milking this" it is "will this be fun?" I don't care if they are trying to make money on their stuff that doesn't mean I have to give them my money. I just want to think through whether or not I want to do that. I enjoy 3D and there are quite a few Disney movies I would enjoy in that format.

#24

Mathias

Mathias

I don't see why you guys are bunching panties over this. Disney is a business. They milk the shit out of their products. Why is this a problem?

#25

Shegokigo

Shegokigo

Because the time/money they waste on this, they could spend on new ideas. Obviously?

Princess and the Frog is one of the few films I've ever enjoyed from Disney with small exceptions like Lion King.

#26

makare

I think they have enough resources to do this and many other things while also developing new ideas.

#27

Shegokigo

Shegokigo

Sure they do, imagine how much more they'd have if they didn't waste some on this.

#28

makare

Yeah Disney don't make money on your stuff while making other stuff. That would be bad.

#29

Shegokigo

Shegokigo

You're arguing for the sake of it. Have fun.

#30

makare

I'm not so much arguing as mocking you but it is still fun.

#31

Shegokigo

Shegokigo

You're pretty bad at it. Just sayin.

#32

SpecialKO

SpecialKO

I don't know why you're so mad, Shego.

It's not like Disney can be relied on to make good new animated films anymore. :awesome:

Tangled wasn't the worst thing I had ever seen, but when it's your big #50, that's not a good place to be.

#33

Shegokigo

Shegokigo

"UMADBRO?" Really? I just like real conversation/banter/discussion. Not the argument skit from Monty Python.

It's like you just met me.

#34

makare

I was disappointed with Tangled although I did think that Mother Gothel was a great villain. She gave me the creeps. Heh.

Hailey Knight

That's her in a lot of threads these days.

#36

makare

Yeah sure what threads? Back that STUFF up. The only time I ended up having to argue about anything was the men drool thread and that was just Gas being Gas and acting like I was arguing about something I wasn't even talking about. And I walked out of that one. so

See darlin, when you're trying to rile feathers, you shouldn't have a paper thin hide. Esc barely needed to scratch the surface to get that reply. ;)

Fishes for arguments then when she reels one in... "I don't like you, you'll go on my ignore list."

#39

makare

Just because I respond negatively to something doesn't mean I am upset. It is called having a conversation which I believe you are often saying you looooove so much.

You switch gears more often than a Nascar driver going in circles. ;)

Oh wait, I'll do it.

Dude, you have a weird world perspective, and you get your shit all in knots when someone comes in and challenges that perspective. That's all I'm going to say about that.
